I very much would have liked an extended feature on lock down recording. I would have loved a cooking segment with Toby. A segment on cover design or on the making of the video trailers. Also some love for Dark Shadows & Star Cops would have been welcome. Since it was all pre-recorded anyway, a few more production values would be cool so things like the Dr Who Cookbook or whatever could play a role. But for a first go...I thought it was a damn good one. Anyone else think it'd be nice, especially for our overseas friends, if BF did this every year online even once mass gatherings can happen again? It's nice to be able to have people all over the globe welcome. Maybe a traditional BF Day and a BF Virtual Day could be done? I’m not overseas but I’d welcome more virtual events. I never go to cons so it’s nice to get a bit of the usual insight and discussions.

I really wish Louise's mic had been better because that was also a really good panel.

I tuned in relatively late. But I absolutely LOVED the last panel with Paul, Alex and Jason. That was really fun.
And can we PLEASE have that 8 / Ace body-swab story? Please? That would be AMAZING.
Now the only thing I wonder is what the pseudonym is Jason uses for his writing....

Was a fun time, especially as it was free, got more panels than usual bf day, and guests were relaxed and interesting. Disappointed got no announcements but I think the 4th news from yesterday would have been intended for today, not sure what happened
Personally I found the Jon culshaw speeches thing irritating and lost interest in the Time slip, robots n music chats........
Highlights were the opening chat, callen, patanosta gang, and Paul & Alex........
But congrats has to go to all The bf teams hard work to put on something that big, just for the love of us fans has to be applauded........

I also very much appreciated and agreed with Nicola Walker's observation that Doctor Who was very good at dealing with grief.

dorney your panel is by far the most entertaining one of the day so far. You just bleed energy! And the three of you are having such a good time with each other. I agree 100% Best panel of the day. Thanks!

I think I'll be coming back to this bit-by-bit over the coming week catching up on the segments I've missed (if for no other reason than I was offered a job). Congratulations to Big Finish for pulling off an entire convention digitally with as many guest artists they could muster. The Paternoster Gang panel has convinced me to pick up one of the Heritage boxsets. The thing I enjoyed most out of all of it, though, was that energy of a bunch of friends and colleagues coming together to celebrate Doctor Who and each other. There's this implicit taboo among fans about becoming too excited, too engaged, so we have to be reserved and measured, etc, etc... And there's that concern in the back of the head that maybe there comes a point where that spark goes *phut* as a result. Big Finish Day is a lovely little reminder that energy and excitement never extinguishes. It can still happen whether you're a newcomer or been at it for over twenty years. That desire to celebrate is always there, just waiting for the rustle of blue touch paper... Or maybe the vworp of a blue box? Thanks for bringing this to us from across the globe, folks. It's a wonderful experience to attend and experience this.

Claire Rushbrook said she'd recorded an audio with Tom Baker and David Tennant and the chat went nuts with people thinking they had a scoop, an unannounced story where Tennant and Baker mee - when Out Of Time 1 has been on sale for months and Claire is on the castlist. Shows to me that BF really, really need to promote the meeting of the two most popular Doctors a LOT stronger, if more than a few who follow BF moore casually than on here had zero idea that this was happening. Though it seems we may get Lou and Tennant in something else soon. Of course she could be directing so it may not be as Leela but we'll see. Agreed. I didn’t notice the viewing figures at the time, but I’m assuming it was in the hundreds. There were enough comments from people getting excited about Tom & David appearing together and it being the first they’ve heard about it. I think we have to assume these are Big Finish customers; if they haven’t heard about it, then there’s little to no chance that any new customers will have heard about it. I just can’t picture casual Doctor Who fans attending these panels; there’s no reason for them to. It shouldn’t be a hard thing to promote, they just need to promote it strongly. As it stands, I fear we’ll just have it dropped on a random day, perhaps with a hint the day before. If they drop the ball with this one, then they really need to assess how they do their PR and marketing.

Well, at the age of ( how much? It can't be! It IS! ) - hastily putting it another way: 49 years after I discovered the Whoniverse, I finally attended my first convention, even if in a virtual sort of way!
I'll have to catch up with the parts that I missed when real life needed me to do things, but wasn't that fun?! And filled with the enthusiasm and love for the show - and for BF - that these wonderful people bring to our Whoniverse day after day.
Thanks so much to all the contributors - and to BF for making it happen; a gift to all of us.

I enjoyed the ability to take part in a BF Day so it definitely was a good idea to do the virtual convention. Well done to whoever thought of that as I'd never get to a 'real one'! I dipped in and out and caught up with some more stuff today, it was good fun. As Davy already mentioned, I also thought it strange to see some of the comments from people who took the time to tune in to Virtual Big Finish Day yet didn't [seem to] know about a BIG Doctor Who release this month ... ?
All in all though, a good idea for these unique times. Thank you BF.

That was a little bit hair-raising - my Internet had been down since Wednesday and only got repaired yesterday in time for me to catch about the last half with Paul McGann and Alex Kingston, but I have gone back and watched some things like the wonderful segments with the Paternoster Gang and The Two Susans (absolutely delightful!)
Thank was a lot of fun (and very thoughtful of Big Finish) to allow us to be able to be part of Big Finish Day that way. Many thanks!

I've watched a few of these after the event; the Robots panel, the Music guys and The John Dorney one which were all very enjoyable.

I've also just caught up with most of this late, after work commitments proevented me experiencing it at the time. Great fun and very informative. My favourite moment might be Jon Culshaw's Davros speech as Donald Trump. Absolutely wonderful, it had me howling with laughter. "Darleks. That's the correct way to pronounce it." Scarily brilliant!
