Didn’t enjoy the Cd very much again preferred Sherwood adaptation but really loved their King Solomon’s mines version-unusual BF haven’t tackled that one. I would love a dramatisation Of SHE too but hey cannot have it all

So, reading this quote from the director it seems we STILL aren't getting a faithful adaptation of the book! The book is set in the mid 1890s, the Victorian era, NOT the Edwardian era!
“H.G. Wells' seminal novel has been adapted for the screen many times but it's always had a contemporary (and American) setting, this is the first version to be set in London and the Home Counties during the Edwardian period.”

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

No its a BBC Co-Production (the partner can apparently broadcast whenever they want) and turns its a mini-series anyway so I suspect BBC are holding off for Xmas/New Year broadcast.

Tangent here, but for me (on mobile): in the previous two comments, the wall emoji 'works' in the reply but not the OP. Does anyone know why?

I would have liked a few more elements from the book but overall I enjoyed this version.

I did like the stark, Hope is almost lost nature of episode 3. A better episode than the first 2. Although it did seem that the story just ended

I wouldn't rule out a second series, this had good ratings.
I enjoyed it, not quite the spectacle the trailer hinted at but a good adaption nevertheless.
