I hope the fourth Time War set is the last one. I’d rather it came to a definitive end than just became protracted.
I was hoping we wouldn’t get another 16-part saga straight after Ravenous (just to have a break from them) but it sounds like we’re getting one. From what DWM said it sounds interesting though, so hopefully will be good.
As for the future, I guess more step backs into prior eras might be possible. I’ve been listening to the Charley audios recently and really would welcome more from that dynamic.

I'm not even going to attempt to guess (normally because my guesses are wide of the mark), but one thing I've always wondered since the website upgrade is why Paul McGann's Doctor is still included with the other three actors / Doctors on the future release idents of the Monthly Adventures / Main Range. As far as I can recall he hasn't been in one in almost eight years..🤔 Maybe you are onto something....

Since 2013, Walker has voiced the Norwegian detective Annika Strandhed in four series of the BBC Radio 4 drama series Annika Stranded by Nick Walker and produced by Sweet Talk.[16][17]
its not one I have heard....is the next set a rouse up?

A return to the main series would be good. Maybe with Mary Shelly, Benny, or Samson and Gemma There's no need for all of this stories to take place after the previous as they have nearly all been.

Wow such spoilers! The last new (still future) companion was Bliss, now it appears the latest one will be called Mystery! So with a name like that will it be a boy or a girl? Or perhaps that’s part of the Mystery. A future time or an off world companion who is gender neutral. Glad to hear Big Finish are incorporating such notions into their releases....and I am really shocked that dorney let slip so much!

I've said this countless times before, but if I had gone into Doom Coalition 2 blind just because of River without seeing the covers or cast list I'd think Liv and Helen were the same character and she had Dissociative Identity Disorder because amazing as both Nicola Walker and Hattie Morahan both are, their voices really blend together and they just feel too similar to me. I hate to say this because I think of their characters as distinctive and I was sure I could tell the two apart much better, but on listening to Ravenous 1 again, I got to the beginning of World of Damnation and was sure I was listening to Liv until The Eleven called her Helen. Ouch. I think the two really might be too similar in voice and tone.

Ouch. I think the two really might be too similar in voice and tone. Sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me. I have a pretty good ear for voices and never had an issue with telling these two apart. The whole way of talking and the inflections and tone of voice are different... However, I am severely lacking elsewhere...
I remember the day I was teaching and my boss gave me several pages of pictures of the students with names on them and I had to go into class and hand out things to the students on the pictures... I was totally helpless (I solved this by just calling out names in the end). I have real trouble processing faces and I have a hard time telling people apart when they are the same size, hair colour and both have glasses for example...
Have the same issue at my new workplace here, and at least one person I keep mixing up has now put some green into her hair and at least that helps...

You might want to look into prosopagnosia, there are milder and more severe variations and it's more common than you'd expect.

I am not THAT bad, but indeed I am relying a lot on identifying people by their voice, not their face. And I got over all the embarrassing moments. I have embarrassing moments all the time, several every week. If I would worry about them, it would never stop.

Sounds like we might get more details on the eighth Doctor’s future in December. My wallet is ready... Squee worthy? i was looking for something deeper than squee lol. we have done Masters,Doctors,Time Lords,Epic stuff Universal destructions-I just want some stand alone tales.Stand alone dramas preferably NOT with any attachment to historic who or its monsters (is that wrong of me?). I guess they have also to maintain the actors interests too and how they all ,lovey doveys ,want to work with each other because they are so ,blah blah blah lol. They may be blah blah blah but lets get some original monsters ,villains...okay am on a bummer today for some reason. These are top notch actors and i will listen to them without the hype truly of something “squee”. i would listen to Liv and Helen further discuss laundry rotas on the Tardis-yep i enjoyed that wee scene.

There's probably little doubt that the premise of Stranded means wherever they end up will feature the TARDIS either disappearing or becoming nonfunctional, so the Doctor, Liv, and Helen will be, well, stranded for the duration of the series.
I'm curious what form that will take - whether they'll be on an alien world, to give the writing team maximum freedom to create the characters and setting and factions they please....or might it be even more interesting if they land somewhere on historical Earth? Somewhere where the three of them are all equally fish out of water? They'd have to spend the entire series settling in to this new old world, making connections and friends and enemies (that 'expansive cast' they've teased), hoping to some day find a way to leave but slowly settling in until this becomes their new lives. Not that I'm in any hurry to see them go, but not wanting to walk away from the life they've built would be a believable, nice way for either Liv or Helen to exit the series as well, without needing to kill anybody off.
I'm imagining a series where Big Finish can round up some of their big or most commonly-appearing actors from non-DW ranges, have them appear as the people that the TARDIS crew get to know and bond with while they're stuck. Mark Elstob as a very patrician, villainous Victorian or Roman (or whenever) noble? Carolyn Seymour as a commanding matriarch of an important family? Alec Newman as a petty crook trying to go straight, who falls in love with Helen? Alex Vlahos as an irrepressible young revolutionary?

This is just some wishful thinking...
After the finale of Ravenous I think it might be nice to have a pause before going into the next 16 hour series. Therefore I will guess
Oct 2020 - Stranded I
Then the early part of 2020 will be freed up for the conclusion of the Time War at Big Finish (at least until 2021 when they can start The Chronicles of War)
We already have on the schedule
Dec 2019 - War Master 4
Feb 2020 - Gallifrey: Time War 3
So I would propose moving the final McGann set forward
Apr 2020 - Eighth Doctor: Time War 4
Then announce that the Eighth Doctor and the War Master will both appear in
Jun 2020 - Gallifrey: Time War 4
Also hope that we will see
Aug 2020 - The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller 2 The first set seems to have gone down well and I think Big Finish will want to keep Sheridan Smith on board.
And finally I still hope we will get a 20th anniversary set with the Eighth Doctor and Charley in Jan 2021 But please, please, please Big Finish do not make that Charlotte Pollard 3

New theory: Stranded is going to be the Liv and Helen's coda and one or two recurring characters from Stranded will end up on the TARDIS either with an invitation or sneaking on board.

Old characters eh? I can see it now as a cliffhanger to an episode or at least the first boxset. The Doctor, Helen and Liv find themselves stranded on a strange alien landscape. A voice calls out from the shadows.
“So, you’re stuck here as well then?”
From out of the shadows come a familiar penguin smoking a cigarette. He takes a smoke and exhales through his beak.
“Figures”
Enter Frobisher making his long awaited return.
(And yeah, I know Nicholas Briggs has said they have no plans for him. But I can still dream!)

The Ravenous 4 bonus disc describes the upcoming release as "down-to-earth" (which is said in such a way that it might be code for Earthbound) and they use the singular to refer to said set. Do we know for sure they're doing four sets with the same subtitle again?

It takes sixteen stories for the TARDIS to heal so that’s 120 quid going by most garages if you took your vehicle in for repair that’s pretty damn cheap. So as I am guessing 16 stories without a TARDIS mmm maybe a wee Vortex Manipulator somewhere or a few Cargo Freighters a space train, couple of trans mats, couple of hotels a few bed and breakfasts some youth hostels ,thumbing lifts, hitching rides and it should be healed as long as they remember where they parked it and depending what century The TARDIS lands in it should be a pretty adventurous ride🤔

So with the comment that Stranded will be more “down to earth” coupled with the fact that the UNIT series is currently on hold, could the Eighth Doctor once again become a scientific advisor?
To repair his Tardis he will need access to the Black Archive and the alien technology it holds as well as going on quests through out the globe to find other extraterrestrial treasure.
Could he even find his own Tardis from one of his past trips to earth and “steal” some spare parts? (That could be rather fun his avoiding himself and his past companions - he couldn’t simply take the Tardis because it would change his own timeline)
As well as introducing NuWho characters, like Kate and Osgood, it would be an ideal opportunity to bring Lady Christina into the mix to help Tomb Raid and/or break into some private collections.
And a recurring foe could be Rufus Hound’s Monk - taunting the now stranded Doctor, impeding his progress and aiding the collectors who want their stuff back!
Also to put the strand into stranded, Liv and Helen can go off for other adventures with characters that the Eighth Doctor cannot meet, like we already had with the newer Masters...although I still think that the Eight should continue to meet the War Master.
