There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

He had a very distinctive voice that made him easy to spot in a show. And he was an actor that in another world might have been a major star. I remember him from HHGTG and Adrian Mole but he was fantastic as Phillip Swallow in the adaptation of Small World, one of my favourite novels.

Hello again.
I knew Stephen Moore's lovely voice from BBC Radio 4 sitcom Acropolis Now by Lynne Truss where he played Heraclitus. The curmudgeonly book who had to put up with the annoying playwright Aristophanes.
Marvyn the paranoid android's single was one I used to play on a student radio. A super creation that brings to life the book version in unforgettable style.

How sad to hear. A great actor with a gift for imbuing lines of dry comedy with meaning and gravitas. My absolute favourite Marvin scene is his brief appearance in So Long and Thanks For All the Fish, later adapted in the Quandary Phase for radio. I'll always be grateful that the majority of the original actors had the chance to come back for these plays - Stephen Moore and co. act the heck out of this scene: www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=46&v=IC9TjMNqPEo&app=desktop
