{Spoiler} She played an older version of Susan in the last First Doctor Adventures set Damn! Might have to get that one... And it (Tick Tock World) was hands-down the worst story of the 6 1DAs so far imo! In fact, it was the only one I've haven't enjoyed, mostly this is an excellent range and highly recommended.
But don't let me put you off 1DAs Vol 3 - the other story, 'The Phoenicians' was a brilliant historical! In fact it was so good I think I said I'd happily have paid double for it, so Vol 3 was still a good buy

On topic: very exciting news. The Dalek story of course, but I really love the early historicals and I'm so pleased they're staying with one in each volume. And the Romanovs, that will be fascinating.

I wonder if, like the previous releases in this range, the individual episodes will have titles too.

Sounds interesting. Although this range has been very hit & miss for me so far.

Sounds interesting. Although this range has been very hit & miss for me so far. I couldn't care less for the Daleks but I'm excited to see if the moral quandary of "Do we save the Tsar and his family from a genuinely awful fate or do we let them lie in the bed they made" gets explored.

I'm a little surprised. I'd thought "Last of the Romanovs" would deal with one of the cases of someone claiming to be Anastasia.

While I trust Big Finish, I do hope that the story does address that it was the bed they made and doesn’t just focus on the tragedy. The Tsar was a dictator who abused his people and I hope they don’t shy away from that just because the Soviet Union ended up being authoritarian as well.

I love in the DoctorWhoTV article, Bradley says one thing he loves about doing the Skaro story is it reminds him of being a young kid and scared of The Daleks. David Bradley was in his 20s when Doctor Who started! The memory cheats, indeed!

The usual lie that anyone in the limelight comes up with, hiding behind the sofa when the Daleks appeared blah blah blah...Did anyone really do that?

The earliest mention I can vaguely remember of 'hiding behind the sofa' would be sometime in the eighties (might have been around the anniversaries or possibly during Colin's time) and that was courtesy of the newspapers..funny to think that all these years later how deep its sunk into the psyche that you only have to say those four words and the Doctor springs to mind. As for actually doing it while I watched the show? Nah. Never happened. At least, I'm pretty certain I never did. The theme tune / opening titles to Armchair Thriller however..now that I do remember. That terrified the **** out of me as a child to the point that I would dive behind the armchair and then run out of the room whenever it started.. 😳

The synopses for the Volume 4 stories couldn't be more exciting and suspenseful. David Bradley and co facing the Daleks, for the very second time, will no doubt be a whopper. And a purely historical take on the Romanovs' assassination... OMG.

What crime had Nicholas's daughters and son committed? what crime had the servants committed?
The Lenin apologia is horrible.

What crime had Nicholas's daughters and son committed? what crime had the servants committed? The Lenin apologia is horrible. If you’re going to respond to things I say (and I’m the only one who raised this point, so don’t try to say you weren’t) I’d appreciate being quoted and not having words put in my mouth. All I said was that the Tsar was a dictator and I hoped the story addressed that. I didn’t say the servants or children deserved to die. And I called the Soviet Union authoritarian so I’m certainly not engaging in “Lenin apologia.”

I'm not nataliesalat, but I didn't read her comment as a direct response to yours, to be perfectly honest. But I guess she can let you know if it is.
