My chief frustration these days is that, since the last update (iOS), whenever you switch out of the app for a couple of minutes, or lock your phone while the app is minimized, when you pop it open again it defaults to the Big Finish splash screen instead of back to the playback screen where I left it. It’s a small thing, but it’s annoying. Just came here to say the same thing. Happened whilst I was listening to The Infinite Today.

Hi! I wanted to know if it was possible to delete from your account the free part 1 samples from the newsletter. They're just cluttering the app and the ones I have the proper release are just useless duplicates.

I think this is because iOS 13 got really aggressive with killing backgrounded apps.

I’ve just had a play around and the playlist idea is pretty neat, but it’s a shame you have to download the release to your device before you can add to the playlist. Realistically you’re not going to have the entire, say, Time War catalogue downloaded to your device. Something to iron out before it’s live, though.
What’s really good is it displays all the discs within a set, so you could delete any you don’t want in a playlist. So, for example, you could add The Diary of River Song 1 to a Time War playlist and only leave The Rulers of the Universe. You can’t download select stories, though, you still need to download the full set.

Why don't the Release Details show the casts of the audios anymore? They used to, but now they only show the plot summary and writers. No actors or directors are listed. Is someone just being lazy and not uploading the information?

Has there been any progress on whether streaming direct from your account will be an option at all? Always seems to take forever to download

I used to have a "loses my place in the story if I pause for too long" problem and so just been listening through my normal music app. Has that been addressed? My normal music app never loses my place in an album/track, even if I leave it alone for hours/days! I do think the BF app is cool and I appreciate being able to see individual covers. Has anyone been having better experiences these days with the app?

App now has the option to create playlists. Especially good for going through bonus releases such as subscriber short trips and adding them all together

The only thing I still think the app needs is the back button being less than 30 seconds or configurable.
Other than that it’s very reliable. All the problems I used to have with slow or aborted downloading were clearly due to my old phone being slow and short on space. Had this new phone for just over a year and on it downloads are very fast.

I figured out that when the app's audio was interrupted it wasn't saving the playback position. This meant if the Android OS killed the app during this process, you would get reverted back to the last position.

Only the zip files you see when you download manually from the website. This means the app doesn't really have a good way to track the individual files when you re-download something. Imagine if the contents of the zip file changed between downloads!

Two questions.
Any chance of getting a count of how many times a story has been played? I know iTunes had it (no idea if they still do) but I love seeing raw data like that.
Second, my phone always defaults to the music app when I start the car, even if I’d been listening before starting the car. Any way to fix it so it resumes from the BFA?

Defaulting to the music app is a limitation of iOS. Wish I could fix it, but it's in Apple's ball court.
