THE OLD APP just times out all the time but NEW 1 works ok i got 2.2. Dark Gallifrey: The War Master Part 2 on my website page and new app i got 8SE. Doctor Who: Once and Future: Coda - The Final Act (Special Edition) but when press download i get something went wrong lol

Well, the old app has been loading all day on my bed. Still none of the new purchases on there or bought releases after July. However. Now it at least did load the "Latest releases" page as well as all Vortexes.

So weirdly I don’t think the old app ever stopped updating those sections; as when the first of Jason’s apology news pieces dropped I found out via a notification from the old app. So some of its functionality never stopped; it’s just the account syncing that seems to have been interrupted and not restored.

Not sure how this could by the whole story though - I’m in Australia and have been seeking to access in off peak times (for the uk). If there is too much load at 3-5am uk time then something is pretty wrong! Has anybody with a larger library successfully updated the old app? If the reddit quote is genuine, then by the law of averages one would expect at least a few people to have successfully re-downloaded after a week has elapsed Nope.

Still not working for me, I get a time out error. I don't understand what the server is doing, surely you just download a meta file for the releases associated with your account? Is it compiling a new list each time you request, and not completing it before the app gives up?
Very annoying.

Just let it run for 11 hours. Still no purchases showing up in the app.! Total madness.

Yeah left mine running overnight and still nothing.
Will just keep backing up from the site and then once I’ve got my back catalogue I’ll import them into my audiobook player on my phone as and when I want to listen to them.
But as the whole point of me being a digital user was the convenience of the app, so I’m done with buying from Big Finish directly until it’s resolved.
Worringly they seem to be saying the app problem is now being *caused* by customers having extensive libraries, so shifting the blame onto us rather than trying to help their most loyal customers. Baffling and leaves a very sour taste.

i get nothing on old app at all and new app does not dl at all latest releases come up on old app which bloody pain as i see what i got but no DL at all

as i going out tomorrow i dl some m4b files on to my phone from my pc and using VLC to play stuff more torchwood as i have nothing on both app as in the middle of aliens among us 2

Yeah, I've not gone back to the "new" app to try, but I'm still unable to download anything from the old app. Just listening to stuff off my PC now.

We would like to thank our customers who have stuck with us as we dealt with a ‘perfect storm’ of unexpected technical issues with our website and App. As most of you know, the launch of a new website and App at the end of July caused a multitude of problems, which led us to take the step of ‘rolling back’ to our original website and App on August 15th. While this ensured that all of our customers could once again access their libraries via their accounts on the website, it unfortunately caused a new problem for many of our most loyal customers – the inability to fully access their large libraries via the App. Since the 15th, with very limited resources at hand, we’ve been investigating ways to help those customers regain full access. It hasn’t been until now that we’ve had success, which is why there hasn’t been any news to share. Our tech team now believe they have a fix which will enable large library customers to do a proper sync-up before their device times-out, but it requires us to take the website offline at 11pm tonight (UK time). We estimate it will be down for about 10 minutes. We ask everyone to avoid refreshing the app immediately. This will help us ensure a smoother experience for all users. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
