I think the first series is the best, but the others are also very good. Tremendous stuff - a real diamond from the early days of Big Finish.

Nah. Wouldn't fit in with the story told so far, at all IMO. DE is a big story, but its scope is also rather limited to one galaxy (well, two if you want to get nitpicky). And it's a pretty grounded series as well, with characters that are real/ordinary people living in extraordinary times, not godlike deus-ex-machina Time Lords. Well, to be fair, some of the plot results from the Daleks' first direct confrontation with the Time Lords in "The Apocalypse Element"...

Also, there's another connection between Dalek Empire and the Time War - the "Museum Peace" short trip, featuring the Eighth Doctor and Kalendorf, where the Doctor contemplates whether to take the decision to get involved in the Time War or not.

I didn't get DE4 as my cupboard is full up with BF CDs and I've had to stop buying them! HaHa. Trouble is with some of them I tend to drift off while I'm err..listening to them! I enjoyed DE1 and 2 and anything with Gareth Thomas in it has to be good right? JB

Absolutely loved these releases, but:
1. I did find it a bit jarring that DE4 appears to be somewhere towards the end of DE1 chronologically, but more or less unconnected. But whatever, great series.
2. I WISH we could have a DE5 that resolves where DE3 left off. Did the message get through or did it not? What happened after? What resolved the second galactic invasion? Etc. Hated how the second invasion storyline just sort of stopped part-way through.

Wasn't the second invasion the Daleks Masteplan one?

Didn't the quality of Dalek Empire get Nick the gig doing the Dalek voices on NuWho?
Anyway, I thought they were wonderful and like others have said above, the only bad thing was that no real "end" was reached.

I loved it, and would gladly buy any new Dalek Empire cd's. Put em in a box set and a limited edition, and I'm all over it. Any way I can get series 5 and id be happy.

I'd love a new series of Dalek Empire (one that finishes properly) but unfortunately I think the main issue is Nick. He's so busy doing everything else, I doubt he'll ever have time to finish it Cheers Tony

Yeah, I expect that Mr Nick would rather work on upcoming series (Prisoner, anyone, Mr Executive Producer!) rather than roll back to Dalek Empire.

I would like a sequel to Dalek empire 3. Hope they plan something on those lines. I couldn't bear the way it ended

I couldn't bear the way it ended DE3 was my favourite of the 4 series and I would love a sequel too, but can't see how it would ever be done with Mr Tennant. Given he is so busy and has very limited availability for BF, it makes more sense for them to use him as the Tenth Doctor in whatever time they have him rather than employ him as Galanar. I hope the above is wrong and I end up eating those words, but I can't see how it would make commercial sense for BF to get Tennant in the studio and then not use him as the Doctor. Having said that I would take a DE3 sequel without Tennant, but it would feel as if it was lacking something

Wishful thinking, that's all 😀

Betcha the subtitle for any Dalek Empire V will be 'Time War'.
I honestly think Dalek Empire should still be an animated series, in fact planet 55 (Jason Haigh-Ellery's Australian animation company) did some tests

That you know of?

Well, ever since Paul Johnson's work on a Who anime, I can definitely say there'd be interest. I'd be extremely pleased with a short adaptation of Duel of the Daleks, Zeg and the Emperor at one another's throats over who should rule the Dalek race.

But I'll buy daleks. Bf really needs an exec. who knows how to make money. They leave so much sitting under the table.
