In my defense, when there've been three actual Neo-Nazi rallies a few hours from me in the span of a couple months, cyborg octopus Nazis are a lot less terrifying. That's a bit harsh... I''m not sure if you are aware of what really is inside a Dalek casing... I love this so much!

That sounds pretty appropriate somehow. It certainly could give an extra dimension to Big Finish's other Time War efforts. I'm sure I'd want to pre-order it on short notice - I really enjoyed the whole Dalek Empire series, but I'd be especially curious to see what the series can do the series could do with the Time War. I would love 'Time War' stories from the Daleks' POV, so a Dalek Empire series set in that period could be the perfect place to do those... and plenty of Dalek victories with no Doctor around too! I haven't been interested in any of the previous Dalek Empire series, but a boxset focusing on The Time War, especially with the Cult of Skaro would certainly get my attention. I would like to hear more about the Cult and as the Doctor cannot meet them before Army of Ghosts this would seem to be a perfect way to expand their back story.

You mean the Dalek War described in Dalek Empire? I would not at all make the assumption that the Doctor wasn't born. Not at all clear when the timing was or why the Doctor wasn't around. Well, there's the "Return of the Daleks" audio, which sheds light. Seven interacts with Susan Mendes and Kalendorf, placing that episode squarely in the first Dalek War described in Dalek Empire. Sounded like somewhere towards the end of the first series, with no alternate-universe "good" Daleks running around. Seven makes a remark about thinking he was supposed to stay out of that conflict, but then concludes in this one instance he needs to act. I suppose it's not much of an elaboration....
So he's around during the events of DE 1,2,4, but is avoiding interfering. Mostly.

The timing of the war in Dalek Empire relative to the Doctor's timeline is not really made clear in Dalek Empire. All complicated, as we know, by the fact that the Doctor could have time traveled to a point before he was born.
