Is Richard Franklin no longer doing audios? Strange he's not involved since they're getting the old gang back together

... as far as we know! His character's first name begins with "Dav" so maybe, just maybe ...

His character's first name begins with "Dav" so maybe, just maybe ... And an anagram of the character's name is Ref: Davros chin pint. You heard it here first!
In all seriousness, much as I'd like to hear more from Davros, I hope he doesn't feature in this story. I'd hate them to undo the brilliant debut of the character in Genesis. Somethings just shouldn't be undone.

Agree, keep Davros special. But still... 'Poison of the Daleks' is clearly about a scheme to exterminate all life via the publication of a cookbook full of cunningly lethal recipes:
"Davros, Chef in Print" Or, he's trapped on Earth by UNIT with the Brig. liasing with our friends across the Channel: "Davros in French Pit" (I'll get my black Kaled coat...)
(Moved from the Updates thread where it was an even more irrelevant post than it is here )

There was no question that Volume 6 would be going on my shopping list...but damn, that cover really is a thing of beauty which I could enjoy forever. Kudos to Tom Webster for that. As for 'Sir Davenport Finch', I'm guessing Terry will be playing some odious Government representative who is either working alongside the villains of the story or is the villain of the story. I'm certainly not going to imagine Terry as a deformed meglamaniacal Kaled scientist rolling around a Parisian restaurant's kitchen in his mobility chair, chef's hat askew as he screams in a dodgy French accent about the purity of his speciality dish and how it will make him the supreme being and ruler of the Universe....🤪 (Tip of the hat to number13 for planting that image in my head)

I’m not overly fussed about the idea of having Daleks in this set, since it doesn’t feel like all that long ago since the last Three/Dalek story. If they wanted a returning monster for each set, I wish they’d have used a monster that isn’t as overused as the Daleks.
Still, I’m looking forward to Three meeting Churchill!

Still looking forward to this set, don’t get me wrong but I do agree with your sentiments here. They could have done a Sontaran story for example set before ‘The Time Warrior’ to show how this incarnation has become reacquainted with them.

Yes we are getting the Daleks again, but on the bright side maybe this one will actually be good.

Well, apart from me agreeing with the consensus here that the Daleks a tiny bit overused... This was pretty much an instant buy. 3rd Doctor and Jo are among my favorite teams and McNiece is great as Churchill. Also curious about Terry Molloy's character- maybe a bit closer to Dunning from the Scaryfiers than Davros? Or maybe a human villain? Looking forward to it.

His character's first name begins with "Dav" so maybe, just maybe ... And given the Daleks are in the set, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a "Davros operating in disguise without the Doctor ever being aware of him" situation, so as to preserve the first meeting in Genesis. Although it would take quite a disguise for Davros not to be recognized... Or he's in the Churchill story and it's a total coincidence.

Makes perfect sense to me if Molloy is playing a villainous politician possibly aiding the enemy. The one thing that defines the earthbound setting of Pertwee’s era was his frustration at dealing with petty bureaucrats after all.
Which I’m sure was obvious to everyone else but it just occurred to me that’s actually a nice touch on the part of the production and writing team there. After being exiled to Earth by the Time Lords he would of course have issues with figures of authority trying to get in his way.

What a lovely and striking cover. I like McNeice’s Churchill and I think he’ll make for a perfect foil to the Third Doctor. I’m intrigued for more information to see if he’ll interact with the Brigadier.
I’ve no issues with another Dalek outing for the Third Doctor and Jo. I wasn’t keen on the one from volume three at all, so think there’s scope for another one.
