I’m wondering. Due to the large cast involved, I wonder if this will involve the Masters teaming up to fight a greater threat or whether this will be a Master Vs Master affair.
To quote the tag line from a frankly awful film.
“Whoever wins... we lose.”

To quote the tag line from a frankly awful film. “Whoever wins... we lose.” I'd love if it was a mixture of both to be honest! They begrudgingly work together while all stabbing each other in the back at every possible opportunity. ...Or what if the greater threat is one of the Masters even maybe?

I still think the Gatiss Master will end up being the true antagonist of the piece or at least at odds with the others. He’s not from their universe after all so he’s basically the odd one out.

Random Tweet Drop late last night Regards mark687 I like to think it wasn’t so random and it was more BF throwing shade at certain people over on Twitter.

I don’t like not having this pre-ordered...when I saw that this thread had been updated I hoped that there was some more information. I don’t know why Big Finish are keeping the details of the audiobook so vague.

I don’t know why Big Finish are keeping the details of the audiobook so vague. It’s strange isn’t it? Personally, I was hoping for a cover reveal or something. (I’m still betting money that Jon Culshaw will portray Delgado Master myself)

I like to think it wasn’t so random and it was more BF throwing shade at certain people over on Twitter. Throwing Shade at who? James Dreyfus and Graham Lineham. Dreyfus has been moaning about being getting him "fired" from Big Finish for his views. Lineham's decided to stick his oar in too and telling people to boycott Big Finish because Dreyfus was "dropped" from Masterful, but there's no evidence that Dreyfus was even attached to the project in the first place. He's also suggesting that Dreyfus was dropped from it because he's gay which is just a ridiculous statement in itself. Clearly he's not aware of how many LGBTQ people actually work for Big Finish.

Ooh so it seems the Ainley Master will be involved then. (Last Adventure-style, perhaps?) The teenage Master is in Time Lord clothing, so guess he’s from the Master’s childhood on Gallifrey.

Do we have a recast Ainley to look forward to? If so, I'd love to see more Master stories for the Fifth Doctor!

Cover looks really great- reminds me of The Paul Hanley artwork of all The Masters together though i think the image used for Geoffrey Beevers looks......yeah should have just used The Light at the end photo of Beevers i Guess Milo Parker is the teenage version of The First Master/ Drefyus Master then (while i am sad that Drefyus wasnt invited back at least they have his incarnation in the story)
Interesting that if they are getting an Ainley Recast instead of Delgardo considering that Nick Briggs love for Delgardo but then agian maybe they got permission to use Ainley Voice clips from Destiny of The Doctor?

The Synopsis is intriguing: The Master's finally done it. He's won. He summons his other selves to a celebration of his ultimate victory. And they come - from across time and dimensions. But he's forgotten to invite someone. And Missy's not happy.
Has the Master really conquered the universe? Or has something more awful been unleashed? Something that even all the Masters cannot stop?
Missy is determined to reveal the truth. Because one fact about the Master's existence never changes. No-one can trust the Master.
Not even the Master

That cover certainly is exciting to behold. Big Finish have really hit the gas on the Master in the last few years. It's been fun to see the character get so much attention.

I’m not a big fan of the regular cover; there’s just something off with it that I can’t put my finger on. I love the limited edition one, though.
I’m curious how they’ll handle the Ainley Master, as I’m guessing he’ll have a substantial presence in Masterful. I’ve read that Jon Culshaw did a good impression on The Five Doctors reading?
I’m sure the Delgado Master will have some presence in Masterful, most likely a few fleeting lines, whether they be from a recast or archival. He’ll have his own time to shine in the audiobook, though, which I’m assuming is why he dominates the limited edition cover; I love that pic of him.
It sounds like an interesting premise, with lots of involvement from Missy. I wonder which Master it is that thinks they’ve won?
