^^ And the top value of personal assets at which the State will step in to fund you drops from under GBP23500 to under GBP19999. How kind and generous of them.

Jennrick [Replaced by Gove with added roles in Housing,Community and Local Government] and more concerning Buckland gone to as Justice Sect (confirmed replaced by Rabb who's also Deputy PM and Lord Chancellor!), Failing Up to the extreme though apparently the Roles are considered Demotions. Liz Truss gets Foreign Sect and Nadine Dorries as Culture Sect Jeez!

Love the comment about post-it notes falling to the floor - taking the minister's careers with them....

That goes back as far as Leadsome appearing on Newsnight to demand that broadcasters should be patriotic and shouldn't question the government. They want the BBC to be a state broadcaster rather than a national broadcaster. With BBC's positions of power being handed to Tory cronies and old pals of Johnson. The BBC's news department has been a disgrace for a long time now.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Footnote from Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman: "NOTE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND AMERICANS: One shilling = Five Pee. It helps to understand the antique finances of the Witchfinder Army if you know the original British monetary system: Two farthings = One Ha'penny. Two ha'pennies = One Penny. Three pennies = A Thrupenny Bit. Two Thrupences = A Sixpence. Two Sixpences = One Shilling, or Bob. Two Bob = A Florin. One Florin and one Sixpence = Half a Crown. Four Half Crowns = Ten Bob Note. Two Ten Bob Notes = One Pound (or 240 pennies). One Pound and One Shilling = One Guinea. The British resisted decimalized currency for a long time because they thought it was too complicated." (Emphasis mine. I know it’s not weights and mass but the principle is the same)

And believe it or not, racehorses are still bought and sold in guineas.... We love our traditions. PS A Crown was also known as a dollar around WW2, half a crown = half a dollar. Because that was the fixed exchange rate at the time and the Americans could just about cope with it.

Not just a national embarrassment but an international one as well.
