Part 1 I enjoyed fine, set-up for the series I will admit, but still fairly enjoyable. 'Just finished part 2, which was sweet. Currently making a start on part 3 before going for my daily walk. The pre-credit sequence made me very very happy

Episode 1 : {Spoiler} The Thomas Brewster reference took me by surprise, it's been 2 years I think since I last listened to his Main Range episodes, and I had completely forgotten about the Doctor giving him the keys to Baker street house. A lovely surprise.

Only nine tracks into episode one but the Curator has stolen the whole thing so far. Every line is 100% the same twinkle-in-the-eye as in The Day of the Doctor.

Just listened to Lost Property. It’s a nice set up, with a refreshing change of tone and I love the kitchen sink element of it all. The supporting cast are all distinct and interesting; I like Tanya already and I’m looking forward to hearing more from the others. Liv & Helen’s interaction with them help to remediate the fatigue I’ve got with this team. Tom absolutely steals the show. I said as much in the excerpt, but his first scene seemed a little derivative of his cameo in The Day of the Doctor, though the rest is lovely. I’m excited to hear more from him, whether it’s in this set or beyond. “Nectar!” The humming sound in the Under Gallery and the seemingly psychic door strike me as confirmation that it is the TARDIS, rather than the potential implication with the walls in Day. So far it’s reminding me of what I’d imagine Morrissey’s take on Doctor Who is, with how domesticated yet vague it all is. And I mean that in the best possible way.

This was great!! Taking the 8th doc and co in a completely different direction.Tom was certainly the star of episode 1!!Loved the domesticity of it all.It was "Rising Damp"with Aliens, kept waiting for Miss Jones or Mr Rigsby to appear on the stairs or landing!!But it never happened.Oh well!maybe in the next Boxset!Loved it!!

Thing is: why have they got a Glasgow Box instead of a London Police Box?

That was really good I agree with the comments above that Tom was the highlight as episode one. I must admit I found the first episode a bit, not confusing exactly but hard to adjust to at first?, it's a great set don't get me wrong...but it just felt a bit strange at first to go from the epic of the last few boxsets to something more intimate and character driven (which was exactly the point I suppose), certainly gives the regulars something different to sink their acting teeth into (McGann has always been great at selling the despair/dark side of the doctor but mixing it with humour) I warmed to Tanya immediately (not familiar with any of Rebbeca Root's other work, though I know the name-she's got great chemistry with Nicola Walker and it's great to get more LGBT representation in the audios ) she's going to be another great addition to to the team Though {Spoiler}I hadn't expected her and Liv to pair up...in the behind the scenes extas Lisa McMullin commented that some fans were 'shipping' Helen and Liv...whilst I never have per se...I've thougnt for a while Bf were planting seeds for them to possibly become a couple...guess I'm wrong... I haven't listened to any of the Torchwood audios and I don't think I've seen an episode since Children Of Earth was broadcast all the way back in 2009, so I have little idea of who Sgt Andy is/his character arc, but I'm certainly intrigued to find out how this crosses over with Torchwood continuity, and it will be interesting to hear how 8 interacts with a male companion (or at least a male recurring character) again. Overall a rather low key (in some aspects) but hugely enjoyable and promising start to this new arc...though at this point it's hard to guess where this arc will be going {Spoiler} Although it makes sense for the Doctor to be so despondent/bored being stranded without his Tardis...it's kinda amsuing to hear him fed up after just a few weeks when he was stranded on Orbis for 600 years and also spent 113(?) years stranded on Earth in the BBC EDA's...

So is this basically a kitchen sink take on the 3rd Doctor status quo? Coronation Street meets Doctor Who?

Wild Animals is another good one. Again, it’s domesticated and it feels very real and a stark contrast to the usual alien menaces. I loved the Doctor’s helplessness and Liv & Tanya are sweet together. So is this basically a kitchen sink take on the 3rd Doctor status quo? Coronation Street meets Doctor Who? I’m only two episodes in, but pretty much.

Will my not having listened to Ravenous 2-4 affect my understanding of this set do you think? I’m waiting for a sale on the Ravenous sets.

Lost Property actually starts with a fairly decent Recap of what happened. The Boxset is quite well structed in that it works both as a soft jump up on point but also has a couple of little squee moments for longer term listeners. Regards mark687

Lost Property by Matt Fitton
Effing BRILLIANT!!! I absolutely loved this first episode and I can’t wait for the rest of Stranded. Paul McGann is brilliantly alien, but still has a great warmth. Hattie Morahan and Nicola Walker continue to be a great duo and them handling the day to day minute is great. Rebecca Root is so likeable as Tania, but there is a mystery to her that is hinted at. Tom Baker as The Curator is used so well, and none of the mystery is lost, in fact is added to. The rest of the new ensemble are all distinct and intriguing. And I love all the tie ins to both Classic and New Doctor Who.
