Due July, March, July, October. Makes sense, they want to test the water first and maybe adjust the stories according to fan reception.
Also, since it is set in present day, setting the release later in the year will also enable them to adjust stories according how some real-life political events turn out.
All perfectly understandable.

Well I did not see Andy Davison coming into the Eighth Doctor Adventures (does that make him the first Torchwood character to cross over into another Big Finish range). I think I’ll wait for more details, but it’s sounding promising. Jo met Jack in the Torchwood range if it counts. Well, Jack started on Who as a Companion, then moved to Torchwood. And since the story with Jo Grant was released as part of the Torchwood range, I think that would count as a Who character appearing in a TW episode.
I think the consideration here is that it's the first time a Torchwood character, who has never been on Who, has crossed into Who since The Stolen Earth. There are a couple of other potential candidates to do this as well. I'm hoping that the cryptic Bilis Manger also makes an appearance.

Just imagine all the possibilities for cross-overs...

This sounds like a really great, fresh take on the Eighth Doctor sets. I'd pre-order any Eighth Doctor releases, but this one gets me to click the mouse faster.

OMG, OMG, OMG!! Deep breath. Instant pre-order. My first thought: Now it's official- we are getting a Doctor Who Sitcom. And, as weird as it sounds, I cannot wait. Only thing I can imagine is some kind of Big Bang mash-up with the Doctor in the role of Sheldon... I just hope, this being timed in the year 2020, it won't devolve into a real-time comment on Brexit. Please. So on the plus- I have for a long time wished for some domestic episodes of the Doctor and his team, lots of banter over the washing-up so to speak. So this is certainly what I had wished for. On the more meh side- Earth, again. The present, again. I would have hoped for the future and maybe some hitchhiking on some alien cargo ships. No, we are stuck on Earth again. Well, on the plus side- there is lots of scope for real-time social commentary on what is happening right now (Climate change, Brexit, ...). However, on the negative side, there is lots of scope for real-time social commentary on what is happening right now (as above). We will see how this turns out... Also cool we (could potentially, as far as I see it is not confirmed, just the actor is in it) get the fun Torchwood character along for the ride. Maybe even becoming a male companion? I am also curious if we will get cross-overs with other present day ranges like UNIT and Torchwood. Should be interesting. Maybe, and this is more cloud and dream territory- a cameo from the current TV crew? Bring it on. Swell either way i think this really is going to be good. Ok i could do without Torchwood...as long as its just the one character am fine....but its one of my favourite Tardis teams and i can take Liv Goping out on dates and Helen finding her place after losing her place lol. Really i cant wait to see where we are going next

If they're going to be stranded in 2020 UK, and Andy is going to appear, I wonder whether that means we can anticipate some Torchwood / Eighth Doctor (Adventures) crossovers down the line. Maybe Colchester is in London for somethingorother and turns up for an episode or two of Stranded, or the Torchwood monthly range does an Odd Couple-type episode with Helen and Ng, things like that. Am hoping no Torchwood Unit i wouldnt mind. But a bit of Domestic stuff would be funny i mean being restricted to a limited rouse instead of a limitless Tardis has got to promote some friction no food machines ,who cooks the dinner, this has the potential to be both fun and scary and interesting the writing team is a bit more divided.

Due July, March, July, October. This probably also confirms that there won't be an 8th Dr: Time War Vol 5 in 2021.

But for the 8th Doctor on his own... as long as they are not coming up with something massively different, might not be a bad idea to give it a break before treading beaten tracks.

I think bringing in some Torchwood characters is fine, AS LONG AS they keep the tone and feel of the 8th Doctor series and do not start to introduce any of this "adult topic" stuff. There is a reason I have kept to the comedy Torchwood releases, because I do not think I can stomach the rest. However, I do not really see any danger there, I think they are quite aware what the target audience is for the respective ranges.
I think this has the potential to become really good.
Plus, they said they ran the scripts and ideas by McGann and he was very happy with it- So far every story he liked became one of my favorites (Scherzo, Natural History of Fear and Dark Eyes). So how bad can it possibly be?

Between the casting of a trans woman (Rebecca Root) as a companion for Big Finish's flagship Doctor and the phasing out of James Dreyfus, I'm happy to see that the company seems to be moving in a more inclusive direction and really listening to their fans!

A policeman from the Torchwood series. He first appeared in the TV show and is a main character in the audio range. And he is a brilliant character and will make a stonking new Companion! He's also 'protected' by being a guest character from another range I guess, so after all the 'Ooohh will it be Helen or will it be Liv' that accompanied 'Ravenous', perhaps this time we can all just relax and enjoy ourselves and assume they all make it out of the end of Vol 4? On the other hand - and I'm not trying to make anyone nervous about a new Companion's life-expectancy, but after the recent discussion about Mathew etc... the last time Rebecca Root appeared in DW ('Zaltys', v.good 5th Doctor story), her character Sable ended up {Spoiler} being eaten by a giant sentient fish
That's not very likely to happen to Tania on Baker Street, I grant you. But with the Doctor around, you never can be sure...
Sounds fun, count me in. (Just not too much Brexit commentary, OK guys? Some light relief would be nice in 2020/1 !)

Yes, I probably forgot to mention how much I adore Andy. Without him Torchwood would be too grim for my taste and I just love how he grew into a major character over the years, starting as a sidekick and ending up as somebody as vital to the team as Jack or Gwen. I've spent years asking for a male companion for Eight so giving us Andy out of the blue is just pure awesomeness ! I also hope Liv and Helen won't stay after Stranded ends. I've said it before Ravenous 4 and, as much as I love them - Eight, Helen and Liv are my absolute favorite TARDIS team ever, even before Two, Jamie and Zoe - you can't have too much of a good thing. Speaking of which, it's refreshing to not have Mark Bonnar in the cast list.

Just one next year, and three in 2021, I wonder if there were scheduling issues?
I’m really looking forward to Andy.
It actually makes sense that there would be cross over between Torchwood and Who on audio. Davies didn’t want it on tv, but given that audios are locked behind a paywall, there’s less chance of kids coming to Torchwood.
As long as it plays by the rules of Who, bring it on! I’ll take Andy, Colchester, the committee you name it!
