It's that time again.
So pour yourself a glass of mulled wine, crack open the festive treats, pop on a Christmas CD and while Bing warbles his way through 'White Christmas' ponder that age old question -
Which releases do you plan on throwing money at and which are making you go weak at the knees in giddy excitement?
(Merry Christmas one and all. See you in 2020!)

Complements of the Season
So looking ahead
DW MR Dark Universe
(Hopefully at last a final for Dramatized Finale Ace featuring the 7th Doc, don't get me wrong keep using them as often you want for new pervious chronological set stories. Early days for the Timelord sneak squad and good ole The Eleven)
Adam Adamant Lives
(I really enjoy this as a TV show its Holmes meets the 3rd Doc meets Janes Bond Groovy)
DW ST The Infinite Today
(Katy Manning narrating nuff said)
TW Fortitude
(Victoria centred TW is always an interesting change
TW Sins of Captain John
(Write up in VORTEX convinced me to give this a go)
Which leaves the 4DAs and River Song
(I'm sure TB and the guest cast will knock the stories out of the park and River Song I don't often get lukewarm on a release I ether enjoy or dislike it but this one's just making me feel meh.)
Regards

A tick for the first three for me!
It is nice to see on the Big Finish website that 2020 is starting so well and ‘You’ve Got This!” badges peak out at me beneath the “Coming Soon”
I am just waiting on hearing the trailer for Adam Adamant to decide whether or not he Lives for me!

For me it is Dark Universe (love the Eleven! and I have been waiting for this story since the first Doom Coalition) and of course ! River Song. I might also give Queen Victoria in Torchwood a go. Sounds like a nice creepy story with an unusual protagonist (Her Majesty). I have never been really sold on the 4th Doctor adventures. I know, sacrilege. I got all the ones that are considered "Classics" and "the best", but even they did nothing to entice me to follow the series. They just do not seem on par with some of the other amazing ranges BF has to offer. And I do not think it is Tom's fault, since he has been amazing in things like Baker's End (I know, Bafflegab) and of course the awesome audio book version of Scratchman. So... shrugs.

How do I choose which is 'most anticipated' from a month like this?
However... I broke my usual 'no spoilers' rule and risked a look at Vortex to see what Guy Adams had to say about 'Adam Adamant Lives'. And thanks to that article, this new range premiere from one of my favourite BF writers (and this time, co-stars) is now my 'most anticipated'.
It's looking set to be a most memorable month - four box sets (two 'premieres', new ground for the 4DAs, something different for River), Queen Vic in TW, a Jo/Third ST with Katy and the Eleven/Seven matchup in the MR. And this is just January!

looking at the list reminds me of how few I've preoirdered... so time to go to the website and rectify that (now I've got my end of December pay)

Only got Fortitude pre-ordered so far. Might be tempted by Dark Universe and the Short Trip.

I have all of the DW releases for January already pre-ordered. A lot of interesting things to look forward to next month but my most anticipated by far has to be Adric reunited with the Fourth Doctor and Romana.

All but Adam Adamant.
Between budget and the ever looming price increase, I've been reluctant to risk getting hooked on new ranges.
Still I hope it, and all the others are excellent!

Just a heads up that if you haven't yet voted for your anticipated release of the month you have twenty four hours to do so before the poll will be locked.
So far we have a clear winner in the Seventh Doctor and the Dark Universe, but with River and the Fourth Doctor a couple of votes behind him and Queen Victoria just a couple of votes behind them...well it's all to play for!
