With Sherlock meeting the 7th Doctor next month, it seems such an obvious cross over to get Sherlock with Jago & Litefoot.
Maybe spilt the teams, Jago and Sherlock, and Litefoot and Watson. Maybe get Conan Doyle back as the close friend of Sherlock?

Sherlock Holmes was established as fictional in Jago & Litefoot: Series Seven. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a prominent guest character in the first story, where he's sick and tired of people wanting more Holmes stories and writing to 221b Baker Street requesting Holmes' help.

Very good it was too. Perhaps Conan Doyle could tag along again? Ineresting idea though..what fictional characters could join up with J&L? I've been asking BF to do a Sexton Blake series for about 13 years so I'll say him

Unless there is an explanation given in All Consuming Fire it does seem very difficult to reconcile the world of Jago & Litefoot with the world of Doctor Who.
Does anyone here watch the Murdoch Mysteries?
In an episode of that the Detective meets a man who believes himself to be Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle is consulted and is surprised by how much the man resembles his idea of Sherlock Holmes and the mans knowledge and deductive reasoning.
Jago & Litefoot could meet someone like that especially if the man claiming to be Sherlock Holmes was played by Nicolas Briggs!
However personally I have my fingers crossed for an appearance in Jago & Litefoot of the Great Detective herself - Madam Vastra!

Hmm, I'm only on series six but I'll wager its only asserted that sherlock holmes is fictional.

The Doctor has met Sherlock Holmes, Jago & Litefoot, and (in a book, I believe) Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax; and Conan Doyle.
Sherlock Holmes has met Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax; and Conan Doyle.
Strax has met Jago & Litefoot.
Jago & Litefoot have met Conan Doyle.
Victorian London's a small place.

In what media has Sherlock Holmes met the Paternoster Gang? i remember the Eleventh Doctor dressing up as Sherlock Holmes in The Snowman. And I felt that the subtext to that was that Sherlock Holmes didn't exist (at least not in the same timeline as Madame Vastra)

"The Secret Lives of Monsters" reference book by Justin Richards includes an excerpt from a book called "A Study in Green" in which Vastra, Jenny and Strax encounter Holmes and Watson. Sherlock Holmes has also met Dorian Gray, and they have also both met Bernice Summerfield, who has also met Vienna Salvatori, who has also met the Doctor. Also, the Seventh Doctor actually mentions to Watson in "All-Consuming Fire" that he's lodging with professor Litefoot, and I seem to recall Watson being familiar with the name. So... it's complicated.

Also, according to "The Brilliant Book 2012", Vastra made a home in London, at first making a living as the main act in Henry Gordon Jago's "Monstre Gathering" (to the Doctor's disapproval) and then as a masked bank robber.

What if the BBC Sherlock met Jago & Litefoot?
Big Finish would only have to get the rights, then somehow get Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman together when they're not busy and come up with a time travel explanation for how Jago & Litefoot end up in Modern Day London (easy - TARDIS trip where the Doctor mysteriously disappears).
