Hmmm...do I plug a gap and pick up "Industrial Evolution" while it's cheap? Or do I hang on a bit longer in the vain hope that Big Finish will make an announcement about 101-150? Decisions, decisions....🤔

Out of curiosity, do you have a link to how you found out about this sale? I don't see it on the BF website.

I've shied away from buying the New UNIT series (Gotta draw the budgetary line somewhere). But I am tempted to pick up the sets with River and the War Master in them, for sake of being completionist with those two characters. But I'm wondering if listening to them I'll end up getting lost for missing pieces of an ongoing storyline (ala the 8th Doctor boxsets). So I've got to ask... are the New UNIT sets arc-based or standalone?
I did listen to the very first episode during the You Tube marathon, so I've gotten the intro to at least some of the recurring characters.

I am like you, I started out with the UNIT releases you mentioned. I just was not interested.
No, UNIT is not like the 8th Doctor super epic space opera.
They are pretty much stand-alone and there seem to be only a few things carrying over from previous sets.
I had no trouble following.
However, I have to say that I was not really too excited about these UNIT sets. I do not know, maybe it is the characters or the story telling, it just did not click with me. For me, the best UNIT story still is the one part of 8th of March. The stories are fine, entertaining, good average, but not mind-blowing. At least for me. And the River story especially is one of the weakest of the ones we had from BF so far.
