Charming story with a more overt example of a character trait of the Doctor done well.

My goodness, I really enjoyed this one. Very heart warming, with an unexpected character (or two) showing up. This is one of my favourite short trips in the last while.

I thought this was absolutely lovely. A great platform for Jamie and a melancholic tale, with an unexpected final five minutes or so.
Two great releases on the trot; I hope this is a return to form for the Short Trips.

My take on this rather charming and unusual Short Trip is now up at Cultbox

As someone who has always been a sucker for those narratives involving lost films I thought this was a lovely little tale.

This was a fun trip, huh? Gotta say, I love these short stories that make use of simple trime-travel segments. And I really loved the framing device--it really reminded me, in all the best ways, of The Marian Conspiracy and (to a lesser extent) Tennant's call-backs in The End of Time.
The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that it's a multi-Doctor story. Just a few moments ago, in relation to another story, I commented that I really loved stories that surprise you with another version of the Doctor popping up, but that really only works when you have the actual actors voicing the lines. It really doesn't work very well when both Doctors are voiced by the same person--it just kinda falls flat in narration.
Also: was Sarah Jane a film buff?
