I mean it’s not really a secret though that Jack is in it regardless of how annoying the people going on about him can be. I mean case in point, Bradley Walsh is wearing the same costume in that promo pic as he was wearing in the infamous marshmallow video. ? There’s a video of Jodie and Mandip doing a marshmallow eating contest and John Barrowman appears in it shouting in the background and wearing a different variant of his costume to what he wore in Fugitive of the Judoon.

Not specific to the upcoming season but I didn't want to start a new thread. This is on telly tonight -
Who Do You Think You Are? 9pm, BBC One
Actor and current Doctor Jodie Whittaker does some ancestral time travelling of her own in the first of this new run of the genealogical series. We open with Whittaker discovering the first world war story of her maternal grandmother, Greta Verdun, and the sacrifices her older half-brother made for the family, while on her father’s side she learns how her great-great-grandfather went from child labourer to mine owner in Yorkshire, controversially keeping the pits open during a strike in the 1920s.

Back to the filming question, well, now you can actually see what a working set looks like:

Not spotted by me, but in the publicity photo photo of the companions sitting around a table there's a post-it note visible that if you turn it upside down and enlarge it says...
MDZ being the company who has the Dalek gun in "Resolution". So it might be a more of a direct sequel to that one than imagined. It would explain the return of the unusual Dalek design from that episode.

Might get some production info in next month’s DWM, as Chibnall’s doing a Production Notes again.

Interesting so its possible COVID affected Tosin's US projects to a degree so that he's at least a presence next series. Regards mark687

Some people seem to be taking this tweet as suggestion that a trailer or something is coming on the anniversary. Could also just be social media intern pushing engagement.

Huh... Strange they're doing an episode with Mary Seacole when BF released a story only earlier this year with her in it. You'd think they would have vetoed that plot when they ran it past the BBC. I can only assume that they hadn't planned that episode out when BF ran it past them for approval. (Actually, it looks like the BF story was written back in 2019 so... yeah.)
This and Mary Shelley makes me wish that BF would avoid celebrity historicals from now on...

So I wonder if the whole TARDIS crew will return or maybe just Graham and Yaz?
I did feel like they were signposting a departure for Ryan in Series 12, what with him regretting being away from Earth for so long, his growing concerns about the environment and also him coming to blows with the Doctor a little bit. Whereas Yaz seems to have been pushed to the forefront more and Graham was pretty much the same.

They'll probably just handwaive it like with Villa Diodati, neither confirming or denying the earlier events and just going 'Aliens. That's why.' Or they do a Churchill and just have the Doctor already be friends with Seacole.
