So apparently the offical doctor who Instagram page posted A photo of Jodie and Alex Kingston together and then short while Later deleted it So I guess River Song will be in the centennial special then If it's the photo I saw the other day online it's from SDCC 3 years ago(?). HHMM Why would they repost it unless it’s like what Steven Moffatt did when he accidentally revealed the weeping angels in flux

The posting a pic with Alex Kingston and taking it down again incident happened three years ago. It just seems to be being discussed again cos supposedly Chibnall himself was one who posted it.

Unusually it seems the regeneration is not inside the TARDIS.
I thought this would be the case.
They'd have had to dismantle the set, transport it to Bad Wolf Studios, rebuild it for one scene/episode and then they'll "regenerate" it into a new interior anyway.

This marks the first time I haven't seen a reboot series as it came out. (Believe it or not, too damn busy to do much any watching of anything for a while).
But the blu-ray should get here soon...

Here's something interesting and/or a bullet dodged. In the script for "Revolution Of The Daleks" that's on the BBC Writers Room site there was an extra moment at the end of the episode that looks like it would have led into the original version of Series 13.

I’d assume that was a victim of Covid restrictions, as I think a DWM special mentioned that the final scene of Revolution was used as a test for Covid-safe filming. Perhaps being reshot to remove Barrowman as presumably him living in America made him being in Flux complicated to say the least. Obviously the way relations with Barrowman have developed, in retrospect this is a bullet dodged…

Not really a surprise but confirmation that Special 2 is planned for Easter.

Few tidbits of info/trivia...
Sounds like the Sea Devils special was meant to be Jodie's last episode with the centenary special added last minute - would have been interesting to see how this would have played into her regeneration.
According to Matt Strevens, Thasmin wasn't planned from the start, they were made aware of the 'ship after S11 but "forgot about it". Mandip wasn't aware it was going to happen until she got the script for Eve of the Daleks.

But according to angry beardos on the internet, nobody likes the current era, right?

Some choice bits from the various Matt Strevens Pannels at Gally via Twitter.
Adventurers in Space and Time is the cheapest thing he's ever done on TV and before they got the final Budget James Gambolfini was considered for the role of Sydney Newman
The Filming of Flux during COVID was given essential status funding by the government but they still could only do 6 instead of the intended 8 EPs
When Chris said he was leaving the BBC went from "We'll put the show on hiatus then, oh its the Century have some cash to make the finale good to we've signed a multi-year contract for it with Bad Wolf and RTD's Producing", just as cameras were about to start rolling.
The end result being the finale won't be exactly what Chris 1st intended and its yet to be given a Episode Title
The Doc/Yaz dynamic is entirely down to Mandip's interpretation of the scripts and fan response.

People will read that hiatus remark in whatever way suits their narrative, but I have more than a bit of reason to suspect that it comes down to the BBC's finances having been continually depleted over the last few years, more than the Beeb being 'mad' at Chibnall's handling of the show and wanting it gone. Years from now, I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed there was a definite handover plan (possibly to someone like McTighe), but the BBC ran the numbers, felt they couldn't make it inhouse anymore if they wanted to be competitive and cost-effective, and then decided to shift to a big writer with an affiliated production company (RTD doesn't own Bad Wolf, just that he has close ties to it. Same thing when the Sally Wainwright-Lookout Point rumour did the rounds last year) to share the costs, if not acquire additional funds.

Losing two episodes from the series would explain why the story managed to feel simultaneously rushed and incomplete.* And from various behind-the-scenes details and interviews it looks episodes were moved about and scenes moved to different episodes as well.
*I wonder if we were supposed to get a Doctor-less episode between "Village of the Angels" and "Survivors of the Flux" because as is, the big shocking cliffhanger instantly turns into a damp squib.
