Twitter hashtags pertaining to this event are currently at number two. You don't what to know what some of the other trending topics are on Twitter at present. I wonder what’s caused that to be trending... but on further thought I’d really rather not know. It's a social distancing thing; don't go outside, stay in and.. um.. do something else. Y'know, that will motivate people to say well away from you....

Ah that was fun; great episode, fun tweets and some lovely trivia from Moffat as well. And it broke UK twitter trends. There may be more group watches in the future as well Dammit, we've missed the chance to do "Timelash" (9th & 16th March).

Had a great time rewatching this story on Saturday evening. It's one of my favourites and there's just so much of it that I adore and cite as favourite moments. I think my favourite thing about the whole live tweeting was seeing the enthusiasm and praise for John Hurt and just how magnificent he was in just the one story. We have since been blessed with a series of War Doctor stories from Big Finish, but often there are some that take a few episodes to get used to a Doctor and warm up to them. John Hurt didn't have that luxury, but he didn't need to because he relishes the role and makes it his own. Seeing others say the same was truly heartwarming.
On the subject of the War Doctor, my favourite scene from the whole of Doctor Who is in The Day of the Doctor and features him. It's him leaving the TARDIS, travelling to the barn and The Moment appearing. It's a real dissection of the character of the Doctor and Billie Piper holds her own against Hurt. I think it's her best performance in the show. I'd happily take a War Doctor Chronicles set narrated by her - just a bit of spiel where she gets inside his head when he's zapped trying to activate The Moment or something.
Even though it's not strictly a Tenth Doctor story, this is actually one of the ones I'm inclined to watch when I fancy watching a bit of Tennant. He's so brilliantly characterised, essentially his era in a nutshell. And the Curator scene is just magical. I'll never forget the collective gasp in the cinema on 23rd November 2013, when that voice boomed.
Steven Moffat's thoughts weren't as in-depth as I thought they were going to be, but there's some lovely anecdotes in there and I loved that he just got swept up with it all. Looking forward to Rose on Thursday.

Hi, I was wondering where I could read the Moffat director's commentary during The Day of the Doctor rewatch, because I'm looking for and I'm not finding it.

Dammit, we've missed the chance to do "Timelash" (9th & 16th March). You don't need an excuse to watch Timelash! (although the first book edition of The Time Machine was published on May 7th...)
