The image in the newsletter email includes The Plague Herds of Excelis, unfortunately though it’s still not available as download and not included in the offer....got my hopes up then that they’d secured the download rights for this one.

All the above offers can be accessed at the Big Finish Weekly Deals page and must end at 23:59 on 7 February 2021. :-) For anyone who doesn't know, Closure (the free story) is include with the Death and the Daleks release (CD and download). I only know this because the name sounded familiar yet not familiar enough for me to remember what it was, so I've just gone a little treasure hunt and rediscovered it The name was nagging at me too but as it's a story I have (but haven't heard) attached to another story I have (but haven't heard), unsurprisingly I couldn't remember exactly where or when. So thanks for giving us closure.

The 2 CC sets are a lot of fun! I'd say the second is better than the first, but at those prices, I'd grab them both! A real steal!!!!

Backlog?............I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea what you're on about........🤪 Speaking of budgeting i have been keeping track if what i have been spending on big finish this year...i can’t be the only one who's in triple digits already... I very nearly went all of January spending nothing with BF. Used to be that never happened. Every month I’d add at least one order, often more. No-order months have been much more common since COVID put a stop to CD sales. As the end of last month approached I completed the final Doom Coalition set. Went to go straight onto Ravenous then realised I hadn’t actually bought it yet. I ordered the CD bundle so that I could listen on download that day but have the CDs for the shelf, to arrive at some point. No rush from my point of view. That order was placed just a couple of hours before the new novels audiobook range was announced. Even if I hadn’t just placed a physical order, I would have likely seen the audiobook news, been slightly tempted (I do eventually get download only titles) but then thought if I’m throwing £80+ at BF today better I filled one of the few gaps in my CD collection. Since lockdown the very understandable move to have the majority of sales be download only has meant I’ve greatly reduced my BF spending. If they tell me something is limited I’ll pre-order, like with each Tennant release or the Eccleston sets (cd and vinyl) or Class etc. I try to get most new releases as they come out, combining 2 or 3 into an order to save on postage and get the 10% discount. The rest goes on my to-get list. Many are in bundles whose price hasn’t thus far changed so I know I can buy those when I need them or if they go even cheaper in a sale. Otherwise I wait for a sale. Sales used to encourage that buying pattern - I’d add the CDs in the sale that I needed then add a recent box or two set to take it over the threshold for discount. With few CD sales I’ve spent far less time on the BF site and far less money. Instead last year I quite pointlessly decided to complete my Who collection on VHS, then spent the second half of the year spending my monthly disposables on figurines from Eaglemoss. With no COVID, probably all that would have gone to BF instead and I would have spent a lot less time trying to explain to the wife why I was buying videos now or why I needed a dozen slightly different little Dalek models!! Hopefully things will get back to normal before too long. I just wish sometimes they’d include CDs in sales. If they caveated by saying that there could be a very long wait, or no sale CDs would be sent till it was announced as resuming, I’d happily wait and use the download. Today I would have bought an Early Adventures bundle if it hadn’t been download only. Banking a load of CDs to be sent only when safe isn’t much different to banking pre-orders, unless that’s too complicated for stock management to cope with.

I have to admit if i hadn’t gone mostly DL only i would not have spent a smidgen as much on BF, the only big finishes i would have gotten are, like you said, in bundles that keep their price - the eighth doctor bundles, the fourth doctor ones ect.

Interesting choice (I would say excellent choice but seeing as both volumes are still sitting in my backlog...😳). Sometimes these weekly deals tie in to an announcement or release during the week...perhaps news on Volume 3 is in the offing?

Either my fingers have a life of their own which is highly unlikely *stops middle finger poking eye*.. or myself and the Big Finish Intern failed to spot the typo.. 🤦♂️ Either way I'll rectify it now. Thanks!
