With the new story and cast info (thanks to The Brigadier for sharing the Tweet in the updates thread), is this the first time we've heard about Joe Simms as Mark Seven in this set? We knew Anya Kingdom was in it, but knowing M7 is also involved has me wondering if Queen of the Mechonoids is going to tie into Dalek Universe in some way? Dorney implied it wasn't essential to Dalek Universe Regards mark687

Like the two Master Short Trips for Time Lord Victorious - neither really contributed to the main arc of the series (as far as I'm aware), but they do tie in with the event. That's the sort of relationship I was wondering about here

All of those stories sound like fun. Not too fussed when it comes to the Mechanoids story admittedly but I’m very curious to see how Rachel is developed further in this.

I’m glad that Rachel is carrying on into at least two stories. It’s little things like that which not only join up the continuity within River’s own range, but also make the gimmick (in this case Robots) seem less obviously gimmicky.
I’m sure the K9 story will be a lot of fun and I’m intrigued if the Mechanoids story will play into The Dalek Protocol & Dalek Universe in any way. I know it’s standalone, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be little tie-ins, and as far as I’m aware The Dalek Protocol was going to be in a later Fourth Doctor series... until it wasn’t.

It would be very interesting if it did tie into Dalek Universe. From the sounds of it, this story might explain why the Mechanoids have gone from worker robots to establishing their own empire as it seems to be the case in other EU material. Unless of course there is already an explanation for that little bit of continuity somewhere else.

You can hear Protocol without listening to DU and vice versa too. (Cough*MechOnoids*cough)

Have to say, after giving the story details and Vortex another look I actually think I’m looking forward to the K-9 story the most. Sounds very fun.

Liking the trailer . I have a great love for ALL the River box sets.Alex is a great lead and will be interesting where they take this.after hearing her and 10 and totally avoiding her and Jack😂😂😂 I look forward to this. I don’t get though Robots living forever surely parts deteriorate even my dyson f*5€ed up after five years 😂😉 what does a Lone Dalek do when he is isolated and all his parts seize up and nowhere and no one to replace them does he just slowly go insane?

While I lament the loss of Individual covers I have to say I love that cgi trailer Big finish really knocks it out of the park with the trailers

Just finished Slight Glimpses of Tomorrow. There must be something linked with James Goss, meandering and the month of January; Masterful and now this. It doesn't really do a great deal, to be honest. It's a great concept that sort of just glides along without really actually doing anything, essentially an hour long build up to the next episode. It does that frustrating thing where the story basically acknowledges they haven't done a lot, so it's somehow fine. And I could've done without the clumsily written sexist exchanges too; they can absolutely be done and done well, but maybe let someone who actually experiences it pen them.
Bit of a shame really, but I do like Rachel and I like her relationship with River, so I'm hoping A Brave New World is something that's more my cup of tea.

Shame to see that they’ve stopped doing individual covers for these now.
