Heβs so talented at drawing! He should illustrate a Doctor Who picture book or graphic novel!π

Here he is doing some charming sketches of the first four actors to play the role on television (he even quotes a bit of Jon Pertwee's "Who is the Doctor!"):

One more: An amazing gift for Rachael Stott, who brought him to life for Titan's Doctor Who comics:
Sorry if this is old news - it's new to me and too cool not to share. Plus we can never have too many bright moments these days.

Did Capaldi ever get around to making portraits of the other Doctors?

I'm trying to figure out the process behind each image. The Into the Dalek one, in particular. He starts with pencil, I think, then moves to felt tip to emboss some of the more prominent lines. He might use a little bit of oil pastels to emphasise the more prominent colours, but the base texture puts me more to mind of watercolour paints. Some of them look as though they could've been literally painted onto the script. Marvellous.

I have a friend who uses those to similar effect.

Rock star, artist, actor, Academy Award winning director. Is there anything he can't do?

Alice X. Zhang has done stunning artwork for the Doctor Who comic covers. She shared a really sweet story about Capaldi showing up out of nowhere to her artist booth at a convention to thank her. He sat with her and then followed up with a card, a note, and a quick sketch:
And the sketch itself:
The card appears to be the same he'd sent to Rachael Stott, so I guess he had a special series of them printed for some very lucky recipients.
