I'm sure I read somewheres that Nyssa was supposed, in "Logopolis", to be closer in age to (say) Victoria than Tegan, but maybe I'm not remembering it accurately. The confusion may lie in the fact that there are two versions of Who Killed Kennedy floating about. One is the original, published in 1996. The other is a 20th Anniversary Edition{Spoiler}But she's still dead in that. Just not quite so recently.

Its got to be Canon. Bit of "Ooh Matron!" innuendo from Gary Gillat:
And of course Elton John got in the act on the day with his new rendition of "Goodbye Sara Jane (Candle in the Tardis)"

Both Stevens and Dodo are dead by the time of its disclosure, but it doesn't quite say when that is. It doesn't necessarily have to be 2015/16 when the Annivesary Edition was published, it could be much later.

So unless you just ignore that bit as being out of universe, Dodo is still dead before Farewell, Sarah Jane.

In that case, I guess it depends on whether or not you believe there's an in-universe David Bishop. It's not impossible. We do have figures like John Lucarotti or Lalla Ward popping up in the background. If there is a Bishop, maybe Dodo got one last trip in the TARDIS prior to her death?
