Hello again.
DALEK. This was the story where I really got what NuWho was all about. A lone Time Lord meets a lone Dalek and everyone gets caught in the crossfire.
Rose's role in the story is unusual too. She doesn't know what a Dalek is and shows no fear. She even challenges the Doctor when it becomes apparent the Dalek isn't quite a Dalek following Rose's intervention.
Great score and the direction from Joe Ahearne is relentless driving the story along. An unusual Dalek story and still,in my view, to be beaten in NuWho.

Fantastic! This is my favorite episode of Nine's season and one of my favorite episodes of new Who full stop.

It's like a Doctor Who unboxing video. Love it.

Loved that prequel!
But I confused the day with the Chimes tweet-a-long and thought this was tomorrow. Damn!

Great prequel, and the excerpts from the 'alternative' scripts on Emily Cook's Twitter (reposted by Rob Shearman) are hilarious. Forget the Toclafane, just imagine what monsters could have been used instead of Daleks!

I seem to recognise the music in Sven and the Scarf where the titular character pulls the long fabric, at the very start. Wasn't it sampled from a BF audio?
