In this month’s DWM they announce the ongoing comic strip is taking a break for the next three issues (due to pandemic economies), but when it resumes it will be with DWM’s contribution to the Time Lord Victorious.

The fact that they cannot produce the comic strip is a surprise. I didn’t realise that there was a little comic factory somewhere in England that has had to close down due to the pandemic.

It did seem a bit odd; quite apart from anything else, I'm surprised they've run out of prepared episodes this quickly.
It's also left ambiguous whether (in lieu of the comic strip) next issue is going to reprint the classic Season 6b TV Comic adventure "The Night Walkers" or merely review it in their obscure-old-stuff column.

Unless something else is unannounced and releasing sooner, the DWM contribution will be the first piece of Time Lord Victorious. Should be out towards the end of September, a week or so before The Knight, the Fool and the Dead.
I’d assume the DWM contribution will be one long story, spanning four to six issues.

Unless also The next originally planned story is more than a 3-parter, so rather than stop halfway through the story they are taking a break
and because of the pandemic they didnt have a chance to get a short 3-part story done?

I suppose TLV could have been brought forward, but I always thought DWM was the most likely place to start the story (probably the most accessible of all the franchise-holders aside from the books).
It may be Panini as a whole, rather than DWM in particular, that need to save some money. I suppose it depends how much work on whcih publications can be done at home, and how many are likely to lose sales with fewer people out and about.

So I am currently assuming that, when announced, the Titan Comics run will concentrate on the Ninth Doctor?
His character does seem under represented at the moment.

Yeah since Nine only had the one run in Titan Comics, it would make a lot of sense to use him there

I suspect the Ninth Doctor content will be in DWM and the Titan run will be some form of multi-Doctor story, as that’s what their preferred approach is with event releases.

So the Ninth Doctor is still limited to one book and Rose Tyler’s involvement is unknown.

Interesting so the Big promo Image is a Comic Cover? Regards mark687 I wouldn’t read into it. The covers rarely have anything to do with the actual story. Titan used to always include covers with Rose/Martha/Donna/Amy/Rory when they never actually appeared in the story.

I’m sure Titan are chuffed they can use the Daleks; they’ve never been allowed before!
