Sounds right up my alley - and from one of the newer writers to Big Finish as well, if I’m not mistaken. And Valentine's no stranger to audio, having worked on Audible projects like Little Women with Laura Dern, and a new King Arthur project with Craig Roberts. Won't be surprised if we see more crossing of the talent pool between Audible and BF in future.

'Writer Rob Valentine added: “This is a story inspired by the modern trend of giving the same value to opinion as fact – including everything from climate change denial to the anti-vaccination movement – but specifically the recent (and ultimately fatal) rocket launch experiments intended to prove that the Earth is flat. The Doctor is about to find himself in a situation where the true enemy is pseudo-scientific hubris, and for once it might be an enemy he hasn't the tools to overcome.”' If this was a 13 episode, what are the odds that certain people would be crying about 'puhleetikul agenduh' and 'freezepeach' with that description? But because it's BF, we will mercifully be spared. And hey, cool BF are finding solutions to production and keeping people employed in some way. Both the theme of this special and the people you're talking about make me think of a line from Leela's first story. "The very powerful and the very stupid..."

Surprised at the quick turnaround, but very pleased with this news.
Not often I do an instant pre-order (usually only if limited edition CD) but I did this time

This is actually the first time I've pre-ordered a Big Finish release on the day it was announced, the audio sounds like an interesting concept so very much looking forward to it, and not long to wait which is nice!

And you will marvel at the sound design. Wow, those sound like actual children in the background.

Well its cool to see a 4th Doctor story coming out that has been recorded recently One of my hopes with any forthcoming The Big Finish Companion v.3 by Kenny Smith would be recording dates for all the Fourth Doctor Adventures.

I'd say I've pre-ordered it, but I'll have to wait for Sales to respond to see if I can add it to my pre-existing April-June pre-orders. Don't want to rack up a whole per order charge for a single CD

Can I confirm, was this completely written during the current pandemic?

Can I confirm, was this completely written during the current pandemic? The news item only says recorded and produced during lock down. Nothing about when it was written. As others have hypothesised this was probably already planned and written for a future unannounced 4DA series.

It’s like being able to purchase the Series 8 stories on digital individually for 8.99 if you’re not interested in the box set, or being able to buy Night of the Stormcrow.
