We've got - and it feels so odd typing this - twelve stories to look forward to with War now. Theres a lot of scope for what could appear.
I think Rassilon would be very exciting to have in the range. He was obviously on TV so wouldn't alienate any potential new listeners (and judging by FB there are going to be a LOT of New Listeners for this and the eventual Tennant range). Romana seems a charaer who wuld make sense to have as well. It would be interesting to have her against this Warrior Doctor.
We're obviously going to have Daleks and Timelords galore. Davros "died" in the first year of the war, I think though Tennant's Doctor said he tried to rescue him so maybe that's one for McGann's prequel box rather than the Hurt one.

It'd be good to get Tim Dalton's Rassilon, maybe a regeneration from Don Warrington. I guess it would start getting expensive with both of them (and John Hurt) in the same boxsets.
It would be good to explore the build up to Davros' death as well in the prequel with McGann. It could end with the Doctor trying to save him but failing ...
Cheers
Tony

I don't know if it is possible but I'd like some stand alone adventures not just doom and gloom.

I don't know if it is possible but I'd like some stand alone adventures not just doom and gloom. Even in Day Of The Doctor when he still thought he was the monster, h couldn't help but have a good nature and humour. I don't think it'll be all doom at all.

Hopefully we will get a tie in with some of the characters from the Gallifrey series? I for one would like to see what happens to Rommana & K9

Defiently a lot of temporal weirdness.

I don't know if it is possible but I'd like some stand alone adventures not just doom and gloom. I imagine we'll probably get a reprieve of some kind, a hopeful moment encaspulated in a story or segement of the box set, before heading back into the darkness.

Just as the War Doctor both is and is not The Doctor, I'd be interested to see if these stories are both like and unlike normal BF Who.
My hope: perhaps not all doom and gloom, but appropriately bitter, tragic, and not at all child-oriented. But I suspect I'll like it no matter what they do.
My only reservations are that it could be very tricky to portray the Time War "accurately" ... endless time rewrites would be confusing for a listener. But we shall see how it is tackled.

A little of how some of the Gallifrey cast make out would indeed be great. Also wouldn't mind in the least if perhaps the Time Lords reconstituted the Valeyard in desperate hopes of an ally and the War Doctor had to spend part of a story helping him correct some sort of loyalty problem. (The Brickyard needs a proper thrashing IMHO as his last appearance got pretty rough on Ol' Sixie). :-)
Never mind me, I'll probably want to see the War Doctor put down ever baddie in Who history while we are so blessed as to have him doing audios.

Timothy Dalton! Romana! Leela! Whatever happened to Romana as we now have Rassilon as President - that would be very cool!

I imagine that Galifrey has decended into dictatorship, most governments do in times of war, even the UK became an oligarchy during the Second World War.

As I said in another thread, I want to hear Ken Bones back as The General. He managed to become head of The War Council and thought nothing of working against Rassilon himself. That's pretty awesome. He must have some back story worth telling.
Crucially, New-Who fans would know him. I read a lot of BF fans thoughts on what this range will be and I think some expect it to be resolution to the Gallifrey series. I wouldn't be surprised if we see none of Romana, Narvin, K9, Leela etc...this looks to be a range BF will get a lot of new listeners with and I can see them wanting to give that audience a blank slate with only tv stories as a status quo. If we get Romana, I can imagine it being a mention in passing or a small cameo.

I'd love to see (or rather hear) Cinder appear somehow. She was brilliant. Also: George Mann to write an episode.

I would like to see a exploration of what makes The Doctor the Doctor.

I would like to see a exploration of what makes The Doctor the Doctor. We kind of got that in Day of the Doctor.

I would like to see a exploration of what makes The Doctor the Doctor. I hope there is exploration of this. Showing us what the War Doctor is not can help show what The Doctor is. It's too much to hope for - and a bad idea narratively perhaps - but I'd love him to be like David Colling's Full Fathom Five Doctor. After all - what is War except the ends justifying the means?

I want to see how Skaro returned, not the ridiculous version from the novels but something that undid the events of ROTD.

It is only Davros' conversation that dates 12's visit as post Time War.
