I guess it will deal with what was up with the Dalek's trial. That's the most intriguing thing about the Master in the TV Movie, not yet touched upon by Big Finish. (and we will never get that Tipple audio, do we?)

As others have said, I haven't been impressed with his version of The Master so far and I don't listen to Vienna. I'll be waiting to hear what people think of this one. I would much rather have a McQueen boxset. I know his absence throughout all of these Master stories is due to his unavailability, but I've missed ol' "Hello, you!" terribly. I was especially bummed out not to hear it when we finally got the Beevers to MacQueen regeneration story.

Doesn't the computer game with Ainley set this up?

That probably was Dicks' intention when writing the game (although i never saw an intervie stating it directly) but we got other explanations later on.
In the Eight Doctors, Ainley still maddened by the Cheetah virus willingly goes to the Daleks on his own to enact a revenge on the doctor
In Lungbarrow he is part of peace treaty between Romana and the Daleks. RTD later called it the Act of Master Restitution and his survival was one if the cause for the Time War.
In the novelisation, he is condemned for having tried to replace the Daleks.
In the very early drafts of the movie, it was all a big retelling of Gensis of the Daleks where the Master killed Davros and replaced the Daleks with the Spider ones. The final version does not even credits Leekley so i imagine not a line of his script remains but the Daleks' trail proably was related to it. (of course a War Master boxset did that same storyline, maybe Roberts' predecessor was punished for something Jacobi did?)
There is also a comic story where the Eight Doctor stated that he used a defective chameleon arc to trick the Master into thinking he was half-human. (although the Apocalypse Element gives another but not conflicting explanation as to why the Eye of Harmony opens to a human eye)

Oh, you again. Still don't have any reading comprehensibility, I see. They were talking about why you were put on trial by the Daleks, not what caused your regeneration.

Well that's easy. I told the Emperor Dalek he was half human on his mother's side, and let me tell you he didn't like that one bit.

I wonder if this will act as a bridge from River Song 5.3 to Ravenous 4, given that it seeeeemed like the Master got out of the Vortex in River but this synopsis sounds like he's stuck there again. Also... That probably was Dicks' intention when writing the game (although i never saw an intervie stating it directly) but we got other explanations later on. I, uh... *points at signature* may have my own way to work all those out...

Actually come to think of it, at the end of River Song 5 he also had a psychopathic criminal trapped with him as well. Possible supporting character?

Ugh. That's really the only thing about The Movie that I can't stand. Why? Why introduce that? It's not really necessary to the plot. Silly. WRT the Roberts-Master set, I'll be buying it. I thought his turns so far have been fine, in the context of stories being driven by other characters. It will be good to see how it goes when he's the main character.

With Eric Roberts joining Derek Jacobi and Michelle Gomez as The Third Master to get his own Spin Off Series i couldn't help but be disappointed by the name of his Boxset i mean Master! is such a simplistic rushed title that honestly feels like it was cobbled up quickly
So What would you think would be a better title for The Master Box set
Personally i think The Master of Vengeance has a nice ring to it

I think Master! works pretty well. It has a ring of 90s American television to it. If the TV Movie had gone to a full series and they'd commissioned a spin-off with Eric Roberts, that's what they'd have called it then.

Boxsets focusing on supporting characters are always put in the relevant collection - the Paternoster Gang and Missy are both under The Twelfth Doctor Collection, the forthcoming Rory sets with Eleven, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if McGann was in it but I wouldn't read anything into it.

Well the last story in the set is called Vengeance. And the write up does say the Master is wishing vengeance on someone..
Plus I would like to hear Vienna meet another Doctor.

Personally, I’d be alright if McGann didn’t make an appearance in this. Would be neat to see Vienna just manage to take down the Master before he (naturally) makes his escape.
For all we know, they could be setting up in this that Vienna and the Master (although not necessarily the Eric Roberts incarnation) have previous history with one another which then could be revealed in a future release. The Master is public enemy number one after all across the Universe and it would make sense that various races have placed a bounty on him.

Speaking as someone who has definitely not been listening the extended War Master theme over and over again, is it time to start talking about what kind of tasty jam the Death Worm's gonna spin for us on the dance floor?

There's a lot to play about with in the TV Movie soundtrack. I would wager they've listened to it for some kind of musical cue. youtu.be/yqWn_mDRzn4I think it's quite an underrated OST
