I hope this leads into a new renaissance for the Eric Roberts Master. Give him a few stories and he’ll quickly be regarded as a fan favourite. Definitely, and being the 6th actor* to play the Master, it seems quite apt. *including the phenomenal Gordon Tipple

Bit disappointed that yet again we’ve got Daleks involved...

How very American.
In the best possible sense of course.
They’re really knocking it out of the park when it comes to these Master related covers.

Bit disappointed that yet again we’ve got Daleks involved... Yes, agreed. 'Nicholas Briggs as The Daleks' has become really repetitive. I'm actually putting off buying things with that on the cover, they've been over-used so much. And to think - JNT used to get bashed by using them once every couple of years! Will these be the standard Skarosians though, or those smurf-like things from the 1996 TVM?

It's a very American and late 90s / early 00s cover, isn't it? It's almost like it's very tenuously linked to Doctor Who, like Class, Vienna or Graceless. Millennium to The X-Files for a US comparison. Works all the better for it, I think it looks great and it being distinct yet distanced seems appropriate for not only a one-off Master but starred in what was essentially an ill-fated pilot.

Soo happy I pre-ordered this.. that cover is gorgeous and the stories sound brilliant. I agree the pepperpots are getting overused, however they FIT with this incarnation of the Master...

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was my understanding that day of the master was the last Robert's story chronologically. At the end of that story they throw Robert's into the vortex which I assumed was meant to lead into the events of mastermind.

Nice blue rinse. Reminds me of Phyllis from Corrie.

Wow! Where to even start?! The cover looks great and I agree with the general consensus. Speaking as an American kid who was born in 1988 (I sound like a Russian Bot deployed by Big Finish marketing), this definitely has a mid nineties (not quite turn of the century but we still subtitle everything with "2000!" and the like) vibe. Really love the 'stabilized' look for the Roberts Master, though I'm glad to see they let him keep the leather trench coat/gloves as a distinguishing characteristic of the incarnation.
And what's this? The Earth?! Depending upon the Master for salvation?! Oh boy...

With talk in the description of Vienna taking on ‘one final job’ I almost wonder if this’ll be the last adventure for Vienna as a character. For all we know, she might not be getting out of this alive.

Considering The Cover for Day of The Master and Ravenous 4 has the younger Roberts with the black slipped hair and the new Master boxset has him with long White Hair than its pretty obvious
that its Post Day which is great as that means Roberts Master can continue

Love the cover! Though I agree (and I find myself surprised saying this) that I really don't think we needed the Daleks in this. But I'm looking forward to it all the same. Also, call me daft, but aren't we overlooking something pretty momentous here? I thought Big Finish only had the rights to produce Doctor Who on audio. They used to be able to do print but they lost the licence for that. Making a USB (containing various stories) shaped like a sonic screwdriver would classify as making a toy, and they don't have the licence for that either. So, how come we've got a video trailer for this, with new footage of Roberts in character? Isn't that an indication that maybe BF are allowed to a little more with the licence than they were previously? Could we expect more in-character trailers in the future? Or is the fact that this is the Master from the TV Movie and therefore the rights are slightly different?

That’s a really good point imagine if we had McGann dressed up in his costume (dark eyes or otherwise) for a mini trailer, having Macqueen or Dreyfus masters in Live action teasers or even big finish companions like Lucie, charley and flip (they did do a Bernice trailer so it’s possible) I guess it depends if they get the Ok from the BBC

The characters we might actually get to have live-action sneak peeks of is very tantalising I've been thinking about the Benny trailer since I posted. Since she's a licence from Paul Cornell, not the BBC, I'd imagine they could do whatever they wanted with the character provided they had Paul's blessing (which is why they've been producing both audios and novels in the last few years). You'd have thought they might have done another one by now if that was the case though, so maybe it's worked out some other way? I don't know the first thing about this sort of stuff, so I'm only guessing.
