Hello again.
This is a real oddity. On first viewing I was singularly unimpressed. However, I watched the whole of NuWho last year and I still found some aspects still toe-crawling. I appreciated that there is an interesting premise. Clara exploring an alien world reminded me of Rose in End of the World. I loved the Doctor communicating with barks. I find the shouty monologues get a bit tiresome, by this stage in Matt Smith's era. So, I did switch off towards the end. I do like Matt Smith, he is as mercurial as always,a pleasure to watch. Even the song while a bit odd, is beautiful and has its place in the story. The hoverbikes are hilarious. It's a funny old story but never dull or boring. I still prefer Neil Cross's second story Hide.

God, she'd rather do one of the worst episodes of all time, then admit the series existed before 2005 and pick a good story.

I think it's about the logistics of the things. NuWho stories are short, and recent enough that people are more likely to remember things worth tweeting. If you can identify a suitable 80s three-parter, perhaps, then it might be worth suggesting it.
After all, Emily Cook has just produced a DW story in which the 4th and 6th Doctors are the main characters.

I haven't watched all of these because I don't like all the episodes chosen. This is just a nice thing someone is doing for fans, alongside new content by those involved in the stories. There have been other tweet-a-longs for older episodes, like The Three Doctors, & there is an upcoming one for the 1996 Doctor Who movie. You are of course free to watch an episode of your choice at the same time if you wish. Maybe create a hashtag & others can tweet-a-long with you? No one is stopping you from taking this initiative if you feel the episodes being shown are not too your liking stcoop?

God, she'd rather do one of the worst episodes of all time, then admit the series existed before 2005 and pick a good story. I don't like Rings of Akhaten either but this is not the case at all. Emily has said that she hasn't done classic who stuff because other people are already doing classic watchalongs and she doesn't want to step on their heels, especially if their plans overlap. Another thing is that everything post 2005 is on iPlayer, so it's easier for fans to get involved. It's also a logistics thing, as she is likely more able to get in contact with new series people, especially in terms of cast for the lockdown shorts they're doing. It's the same reason why she hasn't been able to do any 13th Doctor watchalongs because people aren't available. She was able to get Murray Gold, possibly for only one time, so the obvious choice for the watchalong is RoA. A major part of the story, whether you like it or not, is the music. Plus Farren Blackburn is involved and he has only ever directed 2 stories. It's more a case of who can participate rather than going for the fan favouites. There hasn't even been a rewatch of Blink/Silence in the Library/Turn Left etc. yet.

That being said, if anybody spots somebody doing a "Timeflight" watchthrough in the next few weeks....
