So after 40 votes the current winner of this poll is Alex MacQueen! He was a brilliant new realisation of the Master on audio and I hope we will get more of his portrayal. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t turn up in Stranded somewhere.
John Simms is currently second, but in all probability the most likely Master on the list to get his own series. For me I preferred him in the Moffat era a lot more than in the RTD era. It will be interesting to hear what he is like in the Big Finish era.
And Geoffrey Beevers is third, but a way back from the two front runners. Personally I am still enamoured by the thought of him and Milo Parker together. Doctor Who’s very own Sith Lords - Master and Apprentice.

Yeah, it’s a brilliant suggestion. The Master becomes The Master via The Master! I think that’ll go a long way to reconciling the disappointment and missed opportunity I felt with the Dreyfus Master.
And it’s such a Beevers Master thing to do, isn’t it? Get writing please, Big Finish!

Delgado becomes the Master, then his later incarnation (Beevers) corrupts his earliest one (Parker)!

I won't cry if we never hear from the Dreyfus Master again. I liked him at first in Destination Nervana but found him to be really boring in The Psychic Circus and The Home Guard.
As for the poll, I think Beevers really deserves his own box set given he's the oldest Big Finish Master. Either him or MacQueen, my favorite incarnations of the Master with Jacobi and Delgado. I never liked Simm and Missy even though Big Finish has made her at least tolerable in my eyes. I'll wait for Masterful before giving my opinion about BF's vision of Simm incarnation but Moffat made him at least way better than RTD in the series 10 finale in my opinion.

"Thomas Terrane"
I'm quite unaware of this person. What is this about?

"Thomas Terrane" I'm quite unaware of this person. What is this about? OP explained it's an anagram for "another Master". Basically, would you like to see a brand new Master (or one from print-only media without a designated actor) getting their own box set?

D'oh! How appropriate.
Hey, how does the Dreyfus-Master fit in with the others? Where does he sit, so to speak?

D'oh! How appropriate. Hey, how does the Dreyfus-Master fit in with the others? Where does he sit, so to speak? I believe the intention was that he was the first Master (not sure it was ever explicitly stated), but that may no longer be the case with Milo’s incarnation.

Simm's Master seems very likely after the Masterful announcement. I wonder if Beevers will be getting his own set at some point. He's had the most time on the stage of any of the Big Finish Masters, but I'd love to see what could be done with a whole box set devoted to him.

D'oh! How appropriate. Hey, how does the Dreyfus-Master fit in with the others? Where does he sit, so to speak? Big Finish had an interview and refereed to him as The First Incarnation of The Master Speculating but Milo Parker might be the teenage version of his Master

Just heard The Home Guard which is the first time I've listened to a completed Dreyfus story. I thought he was pretty good.

Tipple should be on there It's an interesting theoretical, but I really don't think there's any market for that.

It's mad that they didn't use Ainley at the start of the Doctor Who movie.

It's mad that they didn't use Ainley at the start of the Doctor Who movie. Honestly i feel Tipple was a stand in for Ainley and Destiny of The Doctors explained how The Tremas Master ended up captured

It's mad that they didn't use Ainley at the start of the Doctor Who movie. From what I heard, they basically cast Tipple for money reasons: they needed to have a local as a significant character while shooting in Canada.
Anyway, the novels already had Ainley regenerate into an incarnation with the likeness of Basil Rathbone so maybe that was on purpose.
I also heard that Ainley was asking a lot of money for anything during the wilderness years. He did not want to voice for the pinball machine for instance. Even for Big Finish, they started using Beevers even though "Dust Breeding" and "Master" were written for Ainley: he asked for more than what BF paid even an actor of the Doctor at the time, if I rememebr correctly.
For those thrwoing the idea arounf about the Master creating the Master, there already is the novel "Harvest of Time" where the Master have always been influenced by a machine outside of time using every instances (about 470 of them) of them from every timeline as its core components.

Just had a thought. Considering next year is the fiftieth anniversary of the first appearance of the Master and the fact we’re getting both Masterful and MASTER, it would only make sense for Delgado Master to appear in next years Third Doctor Adventures boxset.
Trouble is, the last thing you’d want from a Year of the Master is over saturation so I’m not sure if they’ll leave his introduction until later or simply have him appear in one of the Monthly Adventures.

I like the idea of the Master in the Third Doctor Adventures with Jo and UNIT, but I also wonder if the Master could meet Sarah Jane Smith, either the Delgado version or perhaps a different incarnation? Also we know that James Dreyfus was in a Tom story quiet some time ago, so I am curious to see if he might make a surprise appearance in one of the Fourth Doctor Adventures in 2021...perhaps more likely to be the following year when Leela isn’t around.
