Seems almost designed for a Vinyl release. Three Pop-Culture pillars of the series old and new and just 60 minutes to fill, so nothing too timey-wimey or deep.
I could imagine Colin & Sylvester being a suitable volatile clash of personalities for a Vol 2. Empathy, Bombast & Smug superiority, in rotation, for a mid portmanteau comedy. Peter & Paul (sounds like a double act) could also be interesting together for a Volume 3. Superficially similar, but quietly winding each other up with dry sarcasm and withering politeness?
Yesterday's top thread on the end of the Main Range, discussed how BF seems more focused towards gaining new punters at present. This seems like candy on a stick to them.

Didn't realise until after I ordered it that there was a bundle for all three. Oops.

OK, prediction here. We had ten-to-four today, so I'm betting there may be either a 6-of-1 or a 1-over-the-8.

Oh, I've just had a thought! What if this series is where we finally get a story with David Warner and a prime Doctor? David Warner & Tom Baker!

I would be fairly sure it'll be four of Bradley, Davison, C Baker, McCoy and McGann in the other two releases - a Tom/Tennant teamup is likely to attract a fair few casual listeners, possibly even some people who've never heard BF before, to try the whole bundle on the basis of the first episode.

David Warner & Tim Treloar. Unbound 3rd Doctor and his counterpart. I still want 8 & Unbound more but I would not say no to The Two Third Doctors.

Seems like the most reasonable place to start with the Unbound Doctor - whether it's here, in a New Benny or a 3DA - plus that way, he can meet later Doctors afterward!

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Hello again.
Very clever. Nothig stops Big Finish! Recording remotely, using two iconic Doctors and the Voice of the Daleks... Kerchiing!
Just kidding. Big Finish are really to be commended both for continuing to record storiesin these difficult times, there's a video on Youtube showing the work they put in to getting actors to record their parts. It must be difficult not having the other actors to bounce off. Secondly, I'm sure we have appreciated the many different sales and chances to sample different ranges over the past few months. As someone with limited means it is much appreciated.
It is an fascinating idea to have two Doctors working together. As mentioned above it is reasonably priced too. I look forward to seeing how this progresses. Hearing Four and Ten together will be molto bene! Thanks Big Finish.

The most important question(s). Will this be a single cd story? When will this be released on vinyl?

I'm actually surprised that it hasn't happened already. I'm not even sure in this scenario that casting an actor 30 or 40 years younger than we've ever seen the character even meets the definition of "recasting," so I'd have thought it's something that would already have been underway on by now. The closest we got to a young War Doctor in any medium was a half-second reflection in Night of the Doctor, and from there we went straight to present-day John Hurt. It certainly seems that Big Finish’s reticence to do recasting has shifted a little bit the past year or so, so that it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t really surprise me. Add into that having the 8th Doctor transition into the Time War, as well as having the War Master and Gallifrey series dealing with the conflict, I don’t see a reason why they would need to also have a younger, recast War Doctor series running. As Big Finish moves forward, and especially if their licence is renewed, I would think War Doctor audios are a eventuality. No need for a range quite yet, but maybe an appearance or two during the early stages of the War would be cool. And I don't think the Eighth Doctor Time War range should be extended more than another one or two boxsets. Enough to resolve any loose threads, maybe even tie together all of the McGann Time War releases (or at least show us how he got to the point of Lies in Ruins), and pave the way for the choice he makes in Night of the Doctor. Then a young War Doctor starts cameoing and then guest starring in Gallifrey, Dalek Empire or War Master before having any stories as the lead. Actually a story in Dalek Empire where we see the War Doctor from the perspective of the Daleks/another species (like Cass), could be interesting.

Product Format: 1-disc CD (jewel case) Number of Discs: 1 Duration: 60 minutes thanks, for some reason the Production Credits weren't loaded up last night (I recall clicking on that button) when this news hit 12:20am Adelaide time. Interesting!
