Great news, this has cheered me up. The first 2 novels were great and I'm so glad The Omega Factor did not end with the full casts.
I know I've been critical of BF overusing Louise as Leela in some DW threads, but I'm glad she is narrating. She is a brilliant narrator and she cannot be overused in Omega Factor because, in the absence of James Hazeldene, Omega Factor is her show.

I've never been much of a Leela fan myself, but Louise Jameson is a very skilled and talented narrator. And an excellent actor at that, especially in The Omega Factor.

I still need to hear the first 2. I still think it's a shame that this series ended. Probably my favorite non-Doctor Who title at BF.

Leela sometimes gives Louise a bad name due to her over use on audio, but The Omega Factor proves that Louise is a very versatile actress and could never be over used. Pre-ordered this straight away, partly in the hope it will keep the range going for a while longer. T give Big Finish their due they stick by their ranges if they can.

Leela was always my mothers favourite because she didn't shout 'Doctor! Doctor!' and took care of herself. So she always got more airtime when watching with the family... Agreed about Louse's talents as a narrator. She has to be one of the best I have listened to. She managed to make The Omega Factor original novelisation and Terrance Dick's Target version of Horror of Fang Rock atmospheric, tense and with some spot on characterisation of the male actors dialogue. And of course, the pacing. Never hurried, nor does she drag things out. She always gives more than a mere reading off the page. The closest I can think of for such compelling narration on Audio, from what I have listened all the way through, was John Nettles (Bergerac) reading The Court of the Red Tsar by Simon Sebag Montefiore.

Agreed. Louise Jameson is one of the best actors Big Finish employs. Full stop. And I don’t think I will ever get tired of her a Leela either.

I haven’t got round to the other audiobooks, but I will sooner or later. And I’ll buy this one too...once I have income again lol

Currently listening to this one. About a third of the way through and it does not disappoint.
I tend to listen to DL releases whilst walking the dogs so, although I bought it back in the summer when it came out, I held off listening until the dark winter mornings/evenings - much more atmospheric to read it in the dark than the height of summer
