Not watched this yet but let's see if it works as well as the "Genesis of the Daleks" LP

Not the most obvious pick for an official re-edit now The Silurian's or Colony in Space on the other hand

Why 30 minutes?
I often wonder if these classic Who stories could be edited into the 50 minute NuWho format, but I have never thought I wonder if you could condense a four part story into a single part.

I know a lot of those stories from the 1970's had a lot of padding in them but this 30 minute edit didn't really work for me, so I'll stick to the full version on the S14 Blu-ray.

Apparently there's now a version of Battlefield available.

Apparently there's now a version of Battlefield available. Odd that they wanted to highlight Season 26 with a 30 minute cut and picked a four-parter rather than Ghost Light or Survival

Apparently there's now a version of Battlefield available. Odd that they wanted to highlight Season 26 with a 30 minute cut and picked a four-parter rather than Ghost Light or Survival Oh, I dunno. I think its easier to condense than those two, which were quite trim anyway. I fact I suspect it might be all the better for a judicious pruning. Keep the all Brig MK 1 comeback stuff (& Doris), plus Brig Bambera being IN CHARGE, Jean Marsh's Morgaine and the Destroyer. Plus Ace & Shou going 'Boom!' of course (repeat edit), and you have it covered. Could have put it on the Box Set, come to think of it. I'll give it a watch to see what they went with keeping in.
