Yes! Very excited about this. Just preordered the combo box. I knew this was rumoured, but I’m still sitting here today with a ridiculous smile on my face

The "original score and cinematic sound design" piece of the news article is interesting. Big Finish do some great work with this, especially when they use Joe Kraemer, so I'm wondering if there's anything different about this set or if they're embracing the good work they do?
Murray Gold's been doing work for the Doctor Who lockdown videos recently...?

That is money I wasn’t planning on spending this morning. 10 + River + 5 & 6? Oh hell yes. Bring on more 10th Doctor audios.

I'm really excited about this. I figured it would have to happen sooner or later but this does come as a very pleasant surprise nontheless. I put it straight on my wishlist, let's seen how long it takes before I cave in. In fact, I'm not sure why I don't already have it pre-ordered. I guess I'd probably rather wait another announcement or two and go on one of these big shopping sprees that are so much fun.

Lovely jubbly, my number one wish from Big Finish is now a reality! I adore the Tenth Doctor and I adore River Song, their pairing all those years ago left me wanting more, so I am chuffed with this announcement. The Fifth & Sixth Doctor involvement is a little underplayed; a brief mention in the article and a ghostly looking Davison on the, presumably placeholder, cover. That addresses what Mr Davison was recording a few weeks ago, when the eagle eyed spotted River on the script! I'm surprised they've not opted for a limited edition set to match the other three volumes; they really got it spot on with Volume Three. The slightly odd thing about this one is they're calling it The Tenth Doctor and River Song, not The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Volume 4. It seems like they're deliberately distinguishing this as something other than the Tenth Doctor Adventures. I wonder if that might not be a deliberate strategy moving forward for Big Finish. Trying to sell a new customer on a straightforward title is a lot easier than selling them on buying something that's (for instance) Volume 7.

Yeah I tacked on a monthly Torchwood release to make the per order charge not quite so glaring.

Oh wow, this is awesome. Great news for today. Instant pre-order (well, with several hours delay since I had to work late). Plus, as an added bonus, this also features Sixie! How great is that? Does that mean that Colin is now also recording remotely?

We knew it was inevitable, but that doesn't make the announcement any less thrilling! Pre-ordered!
It's very exciting how much Tennant seems to have recorded for Big Finish lately.

Still it doesn’t hurt to promote the fact, especially to the uninitiated. There is no sound designer listed, which is odd when they make a big point of mentioning it!? It would be fascinating to know when this release was planned...was it always in the pipeline, ready for when David would have some free time, or did the writers have to suddenly pull this together.

I wonder if they will cover their picnic at Asgard right away? Moffat's novelisation confirmed it was with 10 since they were talking about Thor if I rememeber correctly. Wonder how that will go down with the DWM boycotter . . . . ? Sorry, I have not been following the fandom that much lately. Can you please tell me what this boycott is about?

Colin Baker had a falling out with DWM a couple of years ago and has since refused to do anything for them.

The CD boxset is a "deluxe" collection of all three stories, albeit not the bookset format of previous ones. All three can also be ordered separately or as a bundle. This is wonderful news, and very exciting, but I have a very mundane and tedious question about purchasing options: what do you get for the £2.03 premium you pay on the vanilla CD bundle (£25) that you don't get from purchasing the vanilla CDs separately (total cost £22.97)

That's not at all clear from the website! I assumed that what was differentiated the boxset from the vanilla releases. So if you pay the £2.99 premium for the boxset (£27.99) over the vanilla bundle (£25) the only extra is music suites?

To be fair, it is pretty explicit in the news article announcing the release, which is normally where that sort of information would come from. I’m notorious for criticising articles on the site, but this one is spot on!
You can buy the vanilla releases in a bundle and get a nice discount; that’s just the three stories. You can buy the collectors edition set, which is four discs; the three stories and a disc of extras.

I can see now my original confusion was based on my own extremely basic calculation error. (10.99 * 3 = 32.97 not 22.97.) I'd just like to say in my defence that having a degree in maths does not mean I can do arithmetic
