I wonder if they will cover their picnic at Asgard right away? Moffat's novelisation confirmed it was with 10 since they were talking about Thor if I rememeber correctly. Wonder how that will go down with the DWM boycotter . . . . ? Sorry, I have not been following the fandom that much lately. Can you please tell me what this boycott is about? Colin is a great guy but he can sometimes be a little prickly and hyper sensitive and over-react to perceived slights.

Viewing the Doctor Who HBO Max Panel Where they had to talk about which companions would have been their favourite to team up with Matt Chose Rose, Jodie chose Rory but David Chose The Brigaider/Sir Alistair and well with Jon Culshaw i wonder if Big Finish would ever have Sir Alistair/ The Brigadier and 10th Doctor meet up?
Perhaps A Future 10th Doctor Adventures Audio could feature them

Loved that story where he was loudly telling off the "Wife in Space" guy in public at a convention....

Considering how his tenure on the show ended and the general attitudes towards his era as The Doctor, his slightly prickly nature is probably justified.

I always think that Colin is simply a man who wears his heart on his sleeve - if it's down to sensitivity, I think he's earned it, but I think it's just honesty. He's been through tough times, personally and professionally, and wants respect to be shown to him and to others. Rather reminds me of Eccleston in that way. (And good on both of them, may we all stand up for ourselves as fiercely as they do!)
So when DWM ran polls declaring his debut story the worst - he got a bit miffed about it and made a point of saying it's not just *him* they're slagging off, but everyone who worked on it.
(Incidentally, Colin's the only Doctor I've met - he signed my copy of Voyager and we had a conversation about Jubilee being one of my favourite pieces of Doctor Who media!)

Really hoping COVID is under control next year so I have a chance meeting him at the German convention.

One of my favourite things is, despite all that happened, he's never let it affect his role as the Doctor. When the call came to take the reigns of The Ultimate Adventure in 1989, just two years after the end of his tenure, he was there giving as vivid and involved a performance as he would've on television. Since then, he's been involved in live conventions, direct-to-video stories and documentaries, audio readings and performances, even become the Doctor Who Appreciation Society's honorary president. Whenever he appears, it's a joy. Giving 110% every time. That's a wonderful thing to bring to people time and again.

I don’t want to be too critical, but I think these covers are pretty weak, as is the slipcase cover. I think Ghosts is the best of the lot, only because it seems to come together a little bit more.
I bet Colin Baker is chuffed he’s not on the cover of Expiry Dating...!

The cover for Expiry Dating is very.... busy. And I'm surprised that like the slipcase cover, Peter Davison is featured but not Colin Baker, who is supposedly in the same story. Odd.
But yeah, Ghosts is probably the best of the covers.

It's always possible, of course, that Peter's role in the story is significantly bigger than Colin's...

If Colin's role in the story was that small to be 4th billed at best..might have been night not announcing him and leaving it as a wee surprise. I like the surprise cameos BF do, it's not something they've over done.

(Wild speculation - maybe something happens to time and Peter regenerates into Colin early for a scene or two!)

I mean we might have speculated over The Last Adventure but Doom Coalition would have been a lovely little surprise. To start of a whole new series of 8DA boxsets with The Doctor. I'd even shoehorn in the classic NOTD "I'm a Doctor, but probably not the one you expected" line being a saddo.

Don't the covers look all fascinating! Despite each of them also getting released individually, I might as well call the entire boxset a de facto 10DA Volume 4 of sorts.

That's a really interesting way to think of it. My uninformed guess is that the "Volume 4" is being reserved for the return of Martha Jones (hopefully soon)!

Love the trailer. David & Alex are on fine form and I’m loving the interaction. I’m assuming this is set during the Specials for Ten, so hopefully there’s no skirting around timelines or memory wipes, etc. and it’s pure adventure for the pair of them. If David did Series 5 basically!
Still no sight or sound of Colin’s Doctor.
