That does really rub me the wrong way that they left Peter out!π He may just not have been available or when asked said no.

I find it very weird that for a GIANT Doctor Who fan, he dropped off the map when he exited the role. I know he does other things, but it was his dream role... The only other fanboy Doctor was Tennant, and he is still active in interviews, panels, audios, etc. Has Peter even spoken about Doctor Who since leaving the role?

Yes I know he said he would only come back for βthe right thingβ , so maybe he is just selective what Doctor Who related things he gets involved with which makes senseπ€ Alternatively the during the zoom quiz he hosted recently he was extremely enthusiastic about Doctor Who with a whole Doctor Who round with questions written by Stephen Moffat and Who guest stars and he even mentioned Big Finish in one of the questions!π Maybe he was just busy at the time. I think it bothered me more thinking about the possibility that they may not have even asked him to be part of the video π€But if it was his choice I understand π

He played the role. He left. He's an actor. He's moved on to other things.

I know we're all super fans, but we should remember he's a human being with a right to privacy. He may be busy with real life and his family and just not available at the same time that everyone else was. It was a silly promotional video about a network getting the streaming rights to episodes that all of us have already seen, not some grand (or even veiled) statement. Hopefully he's busy with good things and nothing related to the current global health crisis that's taken and upended countless lives.

Very true π I think I just was sad because of the possibility they left him out, but there are more important things.

I've seen Matt Smith at cons twice and both times he expressed how hard a choice it was to leave with the implication being if he had to do it again he probably would have stayed on another series. Watching this I think it is clear he misses it and I have to think he is there come the 60th anniversary. As for Capaldi, people can either be busy or can say no. I think he has a very specific relationship to the show and the role. He did it and that may well be it for him. Or maybe they didn't ask him to participate. Who nose? Either way this was a fun watch.
