I kind of agree, as very few of the new series spin-offs interest me, but with Big Finish having the DW licence and only one (so far) 'new' era Doctor to play with there isn't much they can do with the new series era but produce spin-offs. It'd be a waste of the licence if they just sat around and waited until CE/MS/PC decided to jump onboard the Big Finish express... so I do understand it, even if I do find a lot of those spin-offs uninspiring myself.

Yes, & its the ones that feel like little more than filling gaps in the tv show (The Lumiat for example or the rumoured Martha Jones boxset) that frustrate me the most as they are basically creative cul-de-sacs.

Agree to Disagree i think having the spin offs and expansions help develop the characters more and allows more creative freedom The Lives of Captain Jack really helps develop the character of Jack Harkness and his history The War Master spin off is incredible showing a 5 minute Master on screen to be the most incredibly brutal and deadliest of The Masters incarnation The Diary of River Song certainly improved River in my eyes from a 1 Dimensional Flirty Trope to a more rounded character especially in R&J Rose Dimension Cannon helped Develop Clive and showed his character grow and what could have been had he not been Auton Blasted in Rose plus the whole parelle dimension sliding can open up nearly limitless possibilities for story lines
We are getting The Eric Roberts Master spin off which should help develop and showcase his Master without being undermined by other Masters (Day of The Master and Masterful) especially with Eric Roberts slowly getting more use to Voice Acting work this is a great thing.
So Yeah by all means keep bringing on The Martha, Rory, Jackson or Whoever New Series Characters and Companions Spin offs Big Finish can make the more the merrier

Jago & Litefoot is my favourite release from BF & that's a spin-off. The War Master was a decent idea but never lived up to the premise, The Diary of River Song is intermittently entertaining. Things like Rose Dimension Canon (developing Clive? really?) & The Lone Centurion just seem like filling gaps. As for Harriet Jones? Her arc seems to be over, but I guess we will get every single minor character given some spin-off as others have said they need to make use of the licence I guess.

I'd take Harriet Jones as a supporting character in something or maybe a box set where she headlines an episode but I don't think there is enough there to carry a series. Or a series of box sets. I mean she is really more of a plot device than a well realized character.

I think Harriet Vs Yvonne could be fun! Penelope is a busy lady though. Never off the telly, film or stage - would be a nice coup to get her in.
