Quite an unusual one this. Not only is there to be a Lytton comic, but the Kickstarter offers extras that include unrelated extras including commentaries on Who eps, Philip Martin talking about Gangsters, Matthew Waterhouse popping up. Seems a bit all over the place but the tiers aren't expensive. SO any Lytton fans, people who like Eric's writing or indie comics...on you go!

Funny thing is even though we all (in good humour of course) bemoan the constant spin offs given to seemingly the most minor of characters, Lytton is one of those characters who I’d actually be curious to see what further adventures could be had with him.

Oh god, if the writing is as bad as the Target novelizations from last year readers will need a Gofundme account to cover the expense of the brain scrubbing they'll be needing.

DWM did a piece about it this month. Apparently their future projects include a series about Omega and the Minyans, called Omega: Vengeance, and a sequel series to Paradise Towers, called Paradise Found.
Yeah, not for me.

I'm into weird spinoffs wherever they go and would support it, but I don't want to just get issue #1 of a full story and the cheapest bundle of all four is twelve times the price of just the first one??? Probably best to wait and see how it pans out.

I am legitimately interested in the Paradise Towers comic. I love Paradise Towers. It's tremendously underrated, though thankfully I'm seeing a reevaluation of it recently. Omega might be cool, depending on the angle it takes. Lytton is not for me, but that's just my taste. I'm always up for more obscure Doctor Who spin-offs.

I had a read of the 8 preview pages and whilst it seemed very stylized and had me intrigued, at the same time, it seemed a to be on a well worn path. Then I realised why:
Like a Two Ronnies minisode serial, or the 'Damm you Kropotkin' Punt & Dennis serial from the 90's, it is a cliched road much lampooned over the years: Here is the live action, complete 'A Man Called Martin' minisode serial, for free. No kickstarter subscription needed to view.

Hard pass. Not a fan of Saward.
His time with who is probably my least favourite era.

Yep, in the "Attack" novelisation, certainly (not sure about tv).

Lessee... Physical copy of Issue 1 + DVD is £6 (yes, there are cheaper options, but this would be the 'basic' package).
Issues 1-4 plus DVDs are £22.That's three-and-a-bit times the price of a single issue.
When you consider the prices of comics nowadays, that's pretty much comparable, and no other publisher is including DVD bonuses with their releases.

Ahh, I didn't notice the DVD. I was comparing the digital copy of issue #1 (£2) with digital bundle of #1-4 (£24)

These are probably a bit too left field for me. Eric Saward's writing is not very endearing at the best of times, but I do hope the Lytton comics do well...

Stretch goals have been added, notably a comic starring Orcini.

Only a couple of hours left if you want to support this - they're tantalisingly close to the stretch goal for the Orcini one-shot!

As a kickstarter project I am sure there are limits on how many physical copies they can create with this niche project. If people are really interested in this stuff they need to get in on the kickstarter.

Lytton is one character that I'd quite like BF to recast and flesh out. You get the feeling in Attack of the Cybermen that the Doctor knows him of old and has had far more dealings with Lytton than shown on screen. Lytton works better with the Fifth Doctor as the pacifist conflicts quite nicely with the more aggressive Lytton.
