Very sad to see The **** ****** closing as of 07/31. It's been such a great resource for fans to post reviews. I totally understand the reason posted over on the website:
If someone loses interest and the money's not coming in, it's understandable that they decide to step away. Still, it's a great loss for fans and I hope something replaces it.

the********** is probably my most visited website. I hope our (former) DUer imperialheathen is OK and wish him/her all the best and good fortune for the future.
Also, a huge thanks to imperialheathen for the hours and hours I've spent reading (and laughing with) a really good website.

A shame really. ll credit to his/her dedication in keeping the site running despite losing interest in Doctor Who & Big Finish. It was always a key source of reviews to myself too. |

A real shame, but if circumstances have killed off any joy or enthusiasm imperialheathen may have had for his or her website then probably better to close the door now rather than carry on and end up loathing it. Wishing him/her all the best for the future.

Just had a look to see if it was offline, but some good news for like minded visitors to The **** ******:
From the home page:-

I would like to apologize to The **** ****** community. I hadn't realized how import the website was to people until I had a talk with Kamelion. Just because I'm on a hiatus with Big Finish and Doctor Who doesn't mean I can shutdown 10 years worth of community contributions. I haven't visited the website often in the last few months and I lost sight of that.
I am discussing and planning with Kamelion the future of The **** ****** to make sure the website will always be here for the community that has helped it endure and grow for the last 10 years with our without me. So again I apologize.
The website will be here for as long as the community keep contributing."

The 'doesn't mean I can shutdown 10 years worth of community contributions' and the 'until I had a talk with Kamelion' and 'I lost sight of that'. It really looks like Kamelion himself has written this and made up the comments from the original founder. |
