That’s very exciting and surprising news isn’t it! I’ve always been one of those that’s content with Chris never returning to the role, as his series on telly is great and so tight knit that I’ve felt he’s a short lived Doctor and all the more fantastic for it. However, I can’t resist these new stories given the efforts put into getting Chris back on board.
Looking forward to hearing more about these releases. I’m a little sad that the vinyl releases are presumably an alternative to the limited edition book releases, but they’re very competitively priced. And at least it’s an alternative CD and not a replacement!
Do we know if the download is included with the vinyl, if not the behind the scenes?

I thought I was dreaming when I saw the news!!!! This is so exciting he’s my first Doctor and I never thought he would come back!😯😃 Hopefully this means he will be back for the 60th too and that Matt and especially Peter won’t be to far behind doing BF too!🤞😃
I wonder if Rose and Jack will be 9’s BF companions or if he will get any audio only companions?
Ooo now I wonder what villains they will have him up against?!
And what crossovers they could do?!
This is exciting!!!!😃

While I thought it more likely now he's on the con circuit....I thought at BEST they might tempt him to do a one-off trial run - but four boxsets? And like the Tennant ones we've had coming out for my birthday in May? FANTASTIC!

AUS $240.65 just for 1 vinyl volume. Thats almost my 1/2 of my fortnightly mortgage payment. Postage and handling is AUST $109.39 too.

I think the odds have certainly improved somewhat. I would now be extraordinarily surprised if Jake Dudman is the Doctor in either of the two outstanding plays.

I enjoyed Dr Who as a kid but had 'grown out of it' for want of a better phrase. When the rumours of it coming back started I wasn't that excited until RTD & Eccleston were announced. It genuinely made me fall back in love with the show again revisiting old episodes prior to the new version starting. It will be fantastic to hear the 9th Doctor again. Will Rose be back? Will we have new companions? Will there be team ups with other Doctors? So much potential here & great for the future of BF.

This is exciting!!!!😃 Eccleston wasn't exactly enamored with some of Barrowman's more adult antics on set, quite infamously, which he confirmed in his book while John has said in interviews he much preferred working with Tennant as Eccleston was grumpy and too intense for him. So I would have said I thought it unlikely for them to work together again but after today? I think all bets are off.. I'd love to see a new companion for Eccleston personally. Really expand his era. |
