I don't mind Briggs at all. I like his style. I often find in box sets that his stories act as good opening volleys, appetizers if you will. Beneath the Viscoid is a wonderful stage setter that gets us through the 'Master episode that everyone expects' quite nicely, ticking the boxes that have to ticked while prepping us for the Sky Man.

The most inconsistent writer for me.

I think Briggs has heaps of good stories under his belt: Creatures of Beauty, To the Death and Dark Eyes

Hmmm...Chris proving in a single Instagram post that all publicity really is good publicity. Curiosity officially ratcheted up a notch or two.. As for the perceived lack of enthusiasm in the picture....you should see the few pictures that are on my phone. If I'm not looking at the screen instead of the camera the ones where I do make me look like an escapee from Wormwood Scrubs. As for holding something in shot and trying to smile at the same time...🤦♂️. You young uns (anyone under forty) just have to realise that the vast majority of us oldies (anyone over forty) have yet to (and probably never will) master the art of the selfie...😁 Following on from aussie's post I'm just going to post this here...again...

Maybe I’m alone in this way of thinking but I honestly wouldn’t mind if Nicholas Briggs wrote the entire first boxset. Certainly not enough to boycott the release entirely. He wrote the first Dark Eyes after all and that was excellent. But I do highly doubt that’ll be the case and I think we’ll get some other writers for the remaining two stories. He was also the writer of Only The Monstrous, wasn't he? That is probably my favourite War Doctor box set.

I seriously think because Nick seems to have his hand in every NEW thing releases people expect it to be bad I do not know why he is a good writer and an excellent director and he knows what he wants in that direction...people need to hand him some slack....and just complain about his acting 😂😂😂😂😂 Fandom will probably drive Chris away....not Nick

UK forumites...Chris Eccleston is going to be on Lorraine on ITV very shortly, where amongst other things he'll be discussing reprising his role as the Doctor..

A very brief mention of reprising his role and of Big Finish while en route to the recording studio for day two of the first volume (bulk of the conversation was about his role as an ambassador for The Big Issue). Most notable was Lorraine's roundabout question on whether he would consider reprising the role on TV...and Chris' response being that Hell would have to freeze over first!

That’s rather funny actually. Certainly goes to show that there’s still no love lost between him and the BBC.
