As the Time War rages on, the War Doctor begins experiencing visions of an alternate timeline where the Time War never happened and, unbeknownst to the Time Lords, decides to break the rules and ensure that this timeline comes to pass. Even if it means the erasure of his own. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's not a future War Doc Begins EP but something ends up stopping him going through with it. Regards mark687

Regards mark687 I could see it being something along the lines of the Doctor realising that the chaos of the Time War is preventing the emergence of or keeping at bay some greater evil. With the grim realisation that the war is an unfortunate necessity.

After an off screen encounter with Jenny, the Master is inspired to create his own ‘family’ using hits of his own DNA.
Of course, one of his villainous progeny would soon find out that their entire existence is merely due to the fact that their father intends to transfer his consciousness into their body to escape his own dying form.

This would probably be really silly but has DW ever done a story inspired by “Tremors”? Except probably in this the graboid type monsters would be peaceful normally and the humans disturbed them by drilling or something. Perhaps the graboid type monsters would be creatures native to Earth originating from the same period as Silurians and Sea Devils? Oh and the Doctor rides the back of one of the Graboid type creatures and gives them a silly nickname. The Doctor and companion(s) still has to get all the town people to safety but they don’t defeat the creatures with guns. In fact the person who does try to shoot the creatures gets eaten by the graboid type creatures!
Not sure which Doctor/Companion team I would want for this?

A freak accident sends Osgood and Kate Stewart fifty years into the future where they meet the members of the UNIT yet to come. And soon become concerned about the legacy they have left behind...

Due to a case of mistaken identity, Osgood gets mistaken for her hero the Doctor and now it’s up to her to save the day! I can just imagine Osgood getting really into character as the Doctor.

This would probably be really silly but has DW ever done a story inspired by “Tremors”? I reckon Titan ought to licence Tremors to do a third Doctor story where UNIT go to Australia and get trapped by Graboids (because the Australian-set movie was cancelled), and they end up putting a D-notice on the whole affair and so nobody knows about graboids till the first movie.

This would need to be handled carefully but I think this could be an interesting and compelling storyline if done right: The Doctor gets a young stowaway on the TARDIS claiming that the Doctor is their birth parent and that a former or future companion is their other birth parent. The Doctor isn’t sure when in their timeline the child comes from and if they really are their child. The Doctor’s current companion(s) aren’t sure what to make of the stowaway either. Complicating matters the young stowaway is more than a bit of a trouble maker and has gotten involved with some unsavory characters (possibly working for a space gang). I like that! Eighth Doctor comes to mind: "I don't remember being a father... Then again, I probably don't remember lots of things..."

A story set in a NASA-style Mission Control, as they communicate with their astronauts who are encountering an impossible stranger...
I dunno maybe it’s just cos I’m in a bit of space themed Wikipedia rabbithole atm and currently listening to Red Dawn, but it just seems a good idea.

I could imagine a scene where the Doctor is tapping on the window of the space shuttle and politely asks to be let in. Feel like the Seventh or the Second Doctor would be a good fit.

Funny you should mention Eight: I thought this sounded familiar, so I did some digging and found my copy of... Father Time. An EDA from after the Doctor loses his memory of Gallifrey. In his long exile on Earth, he ends up having a daughter, a young woman called Miranda. It's not clear where she comes from, only that it's likely from some wartorn part of the Doctor's future where he's become an Emperor (Miranda herself resembles Jodie Foster). It's a Lance Parkin book and it's really good. Well worth tracking down.

Have we ever had a story where the Doctor and co visit Frobisher’s home planet?

Have we ever had a story where the Doctor and co visit Frobisher’s home planet? Nope, Xenon's very much a closed book. We know that a young Avan Tarklu grew up as a guttersnipe with few friends in the slums, but little else beyond that. Part of me thinks that it could resemble an old Fleischer cartoon.

Ooh, I really like that imagery. With Frobisher serving as the ‘straight man’ to the comedic antics of the other Whifferdills after his travels with the Doctor have broadened his horizons. “That’s the problem Doc, with belonging to a planet full of shape changers. Nothing ever stays the same for long...”

There's a Short Trip set duing Apollo 8 where that more or less happens, except Mission Control never find out he was there.
EDIT: No there isn't. (A Short Trip that is.) It was Four's story in the 'Twelve Doctors of Christmas' collection.

A story loosely inspired by “All About Eve” where Missy takes on a new assistant who is young, a bit too perky and sweet and comes as rather meek and slightly nerdy at first but then gradually reveals herself to be a more terrifying and competent villain than Missy herself. The assistant then is revealed to have manipulated her way into replacing Missy. Now it’s up to Missy to save the day and stop her former assistant’s evil plans!

Wasn't quite sure whether to put this in the "surprised" or "silly" threads, but I saw this tweeted by Scott Gray and -- honestly? -- an iteration of the Master played by Peter Wyngarde actually sounds pretty great...

War Master: The Final Problem.
The Master has always had a bit of an asynchronous relationship with his erstwhile friend. Throughout his lives the Master has been pestered by incarnations that, to the Doctor, are far in their future, like the Valeyard. One in particular, dark and beyond the reach of the light, has been there since the beginning of the Master's journey and only now has become more....aggressive. But, in a twist that walks upon a grave not yet dug, it is revealed that this far future time lord is not a Doctor, but a Master. From the end of time, the end of everything comes...the Final Master, who shall be redeemed...no mater the cost!
