We're doing a new episode of the Power of 3, looking at Last of the Titans, The Ratings War and No Place Like Home.
Anyone care to share thoughts on them, which we can feature?

We're doing a new episode of the Power of 3, looking at Last of the Titans, The Ratings War and No Place Like Home. Anyone care to share thoughts on them, which we can feature? Sure. Not sure whether you want it via PM or not but considering I only just listened to Last of the Titans I’ll post my brief thoughts here. Personally, I thought it was a lovely little story which perfectly suited its short format. Vilgreth is definitely one of the more memorable one off villains if such a term can even be applied to him. His character, in my opinion, goes beyond simple comic relief with his talk of afternoon tea and the like and becomes something rather poignant bordering on tragic when we come to learn of his origins. One does wonder what it would have been like he had learnt to let go of his ‘beauties’ and travelled with the Doctor for a bit. Would have made a very interesting if brief companion I think. My only real gripe with the story is that I feel the idea of the Planet Eater ships are something that could have been expanded upon in a full length piece as I definitely think there is further scope in the idea. All very well done in my opinion. (As you can tell, I really liked it. 😅)

I really enjoyed these 3 shorter tales, which in the end could be considered trial runs for the Single Episodes of later Main Range Releases.
Each one worked in their own different ways. And the way two of them essentially Big Finish Canonised the DWM Comics. When they add hints to other adventures, it always sparks my interest.
And i do hope we get more of these again in the future, even if they are Download exclusive as they are perfect way's of bringing in new writers outside of short trips.

If you are an Eighth Doctor fan, a friend and I have just started Pieces of Eighth, which will feature all things related to Paul McGann's Doctor. Big Finish stuff will obviously come into this, so let us know if you have any story or particular angle you would like to hear about. The first two parts are here... anchor.fm/doctor-who---pieces-of-eighth
