This is just for fun, but what fictional characters do you relate to the most?
Me:
Sarah from Labryinth: Like Sarah I am a socially awkward slightly melodramatic introvert girl who daydreams non stop about fantasy.
Twelfth Doctor: Despite being an alien he is a very realistic socially awkward neurodiverse person who does their best but doesn’t always say the right thing and sometimes has trouble reading people and is often misunderstood, which is very relatable to me as a socially awkward neurodiverse person.
Abed from Community: We both share a passion for pop culture and fiction in general. When I first watched Community, I was struck by how similar Abed’s relationship with pop culture was to mine. Like Abed I have a tendency to try to understand and navigate real life through the lens of fiction and love pulling apart and analyzing all the tropes of fiction.
Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter: We are both quiet awkward weird spacey daydreamy girls with odd fashion senses who have trouble fitting in and like her I was (unfortunately) bullied and regarded as a bit of a freak in school for being awkward, strange, and nonconformist.
Belle from Disney’ Beauty and the Beast: I relate to her as an introverted outsider who reads all the time and often find myself much preferring fiction to real life and always wanting excitement out of the ordinary and wanting to escape normal life.
What fictional characters do you relate to the most and why? They could be from any type of fiction ( tv , movies, books, audios, video games, comics, etc) so as long as you relate to them.

Being out of work I'm kind of rediscovering myself, but while I was till employed -- absolutely Kif from Futurama. The competent but long-suffering, exasperated employee who, instead of being able to do anything productive, spends all his time cleaning up the messes caused by incompetent bosses.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Adrian Mole from Sue Townsend’s novels: Adrian is a bit of a failure in life and utterly clueless about navigating life and reading people and situations.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve definitely found myself relating to Edward Buchan from Whitechapel a lot.
Passionate about his interests and fiercely loyal but I’m sure is considered nothing more than an irritant by most people.
Not to mention I’d love to be an archivist.

A crime series that ITV did from around 2009-2013 which originally focuses on the concept of what if someone replicated the murders of Jack the Ripper in the modern day then later on moved into other copycat crimes. Not a fan of the sudden supernatural elements that were introduced in the final series but I’ll always feel disappointed that it never got a fifth series to wrap it all up. I’d definitely recommend it if you are into that sort of thing.

I am drawn to weird characters that are not considered "normal" and this is evident from the shows I watch. So of course this includes the Doctor. I have always been into fantasy and science fiction. I can relate to Bilbo and Frodo. I can relate to Ey-ore and the German equivalent Bernd das Brot (from a very popular German childrens show, Bernd is a clinically depressed loaf of bread and he gets the best one-liners). I am a huge Trekkie, and back in the day, my favorites were Spock, Data and the EMH. Today, I am more of a Picard person. But I also like facets of House, and right now I am in the middle of re-watching Monk. The emotional anguish and the character depth (Monk has a pretty dark side hiding underneath) of Monk has always fascinated me, and there are a few episodes that always make me cry or make my heart warm. I know that the OCD is completely inaccurate, but the depression bit hits very close to home and I just love how caring and supportive his friends are.

Just discovered my old Chronicles of Narnia books and the memories just all came flooding back.
Safe to say, that nowadays I feel like Puddleglum more so than most other characters. Especially when it comes to his more cynical tendencies.

Sam or Frodo - I'm not sure it was my idea to take the ring back to Mordor but someone's got to do it and if it isn't me, I'd like to help whoever it is.
Hagrid - Hair everywhere and would like to own too many pets.
Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows - You try and help your family, and all the thanks you get is that they want to put a stake through you.

I have to add another one after: Lily from Dash and Lily: We are both geeky artsy socially awkward weird girls! I pretty much was Lily growing up (and still am). The middle school rejected friendship bracelet flashback scene where her crush pretends to be nice to her and then makes fun of her and calls her weird is deeply relatable to me as I have gone through many situations like this both growing up and as an adult. We also have very similar quirky fashion senses, love of fairytales, books, have lots of relatives, and have dorky dance moves!

Only seen Series 1 so far but Abby Grant of Survivors is immensely relatable IMO. She wants to have hope, wants to have faith in humanity, but she's proven wrong again and again - and keeps trying anyway. (She's also just a great TV show lead because she's well balanced between pragmatic Greg and emotional Jenny. Middle of the road. Passionate but reasoned.)
