It just occured to me that we haven't (to my memory) tried to get a full-house set of us forumites meeting all the Doctor Who actors from #1 to latest tv incarnation.. I have met X2 each Doctors 5,6,7,8 and #11 once. A forum mate of mine, he has met #12. Who have you met? Bonus bragging points for somehow having met #1, #2 and #3.

Not really one for conventions but I once met Sylvester McCoy. Absolutely lovely bloke and he entertained all of us waiting in line by playing the spoons as they set his booth up. Simply delightful.

Oh then count me down for Mr Briggs (and his young son at the time) for 1 LOL So the golden geese will be #1,2,3 . I wonder if anyone had met Sir John Hurt? or the "new #1 incarnation" . that would be great to meet her for completionists sake.

Jon Pertwee was the featured guest at the first convention I'd gone to in 1988 (got to see his panel, but sadly didn't get to meet him). He showed up in costume and everything. It was so cool! I met Sylvester McCoy the following year and had an especially awesome experience. I had an umbrella with a question-mark shaped handle (it was a promotional gift that a relative had gotten with a cologne purchase). I was walking through the dealers' room when a young lady approached and asked if they could borrow my umbrella so that Sylvester could use it while filming a promotional ad for a local PBS station. My friend and I got to watch him record several takes (he was juggling with my umbrella's handle hanging off his arm and thanking viewers for supporting Prairie Public Television. 14 year old me was blown away that the Doctor was using my umbrella! I got to chat with him briefly at a signing panel (he signed my copy of Peter Haining's 25 Glorious Years, back when you didn't have to pay a premium for autographs). I have never been able to find the actual commercial, but I'm sure it's out there somewhere. I met Colin Baker in 2008 at New York City Comic Con. He wasn't an official guest of the convention, but rather a guest of one of the exhibitors (I think it was DoctorWhoStore.com). He had a small little line but I remember feeling mortified on his behalf with some of the fans ahead of me. I watched being harangued by a bunch of excitable younger fans who had clearly discovered the show via David Tennant and knew he was *a* Doctor but maybe their awareness of the Sixth Doctor was limited to fleeting clips in DW Confidential. They were waving a camera in his face and excitedly yelling SAY SOMETHING FROM DOCTOR WHO. He obliged by doing a speech from Trial of a Time Lord...only to have them say DO IT AGAIN MY CAMERA WASN'T WORKING. Which he did, because he's such a sweetheart. The next guy asked him to please sign a copy of his Caves of Androzani DVD, only for another random fan to rudely get in his face, saying HE WASN'T IN THAT, THAT WAS PETER DAVIDSON (pronounced wrong, of course). The guy maintained his cool and said, "Colin literally has the final word in this story, if that's okay with you." Yeesh. I finally got to chat with him and he smiled when I'd offered my CD booklet of The One Doctor for him to sign. I thanked him for the stories and said I was excited about the then upcoming Lost Stories and traveling with Charley Pollard. He said they were a lot of fun and there were great things coming up. I then mentioned that I was excited about being able to purchase the downloads (which was a new thing from BF at the time) and he gave me a horrified expression. It wasn't until later that I realized that he must have misunderstood and thought I was pirating them! Here I was rolling my eyes at other fans and I must have (inadvertently!) come off like a jerk. The owner of the booth quickly swooped in and asked if I'd bought the One Doctor CD from his shop. I said I didn't, so he informed me that I'd have to pay a premium for the autograph. This was still new to me as someone re-entering fandom in years, but it was no problem and I just felt a little bad seeing the Doctor just hanging out in relative anonymity amongst the chaos of the NYCC exhibit hall. But it was still cool to meet him.

Peter Davison (seen twice, met once)
Colin (seen three times, met twice)
Sylvester, Paul & Chris (seen once, met once)
David & Matt (saw both once, narrowly missed on getting them to sign something)
'Had the opportunity to see Peter Capaldi in 'The Ladykillers' at the theatre in Southampton whilst in university (and maybe a year or so before he was announced as the next Doctor?). In the end I missed it due to coursework. Whilst for the best, sometimes I do kick myself slightly...
I met Jodie in 2011 at a preview screening of 'Attack The Block'. 'Had my picture taken with her and I looked derpily in love (My one with John Boyeda & a couple of others? Yeeeeah, it kinda looks like I've just taken some 'illicit substances' =_=)

Earlier this year, while not in person I got chosen first to chat with Peter Capaldi during the virtual meet and greet during the Zoom quiz he hosted😊 I wanted to make sure I asked him something original that he doesn’t get asked a lot. I had noticed how his character Angus in Lair of the White Worm was very “Doctory” in places, and asked him if at the time he intentionally played Angus “Doctory”. He smiled and said he didn’t play it that way intentionally but if I find him “Doctory” as Angus it’s because his acting general was influenced by classic Who actors like William Hartnell. Also I showed him my drawings of him as the Doctor and him as Angus and he said that I drew those characters far better than he ever could! I bet he could draw them better than I could but it was sweet of him to say😁 He’s such a lovely man and that was the best moment of 2020 for me!😊 Someday I would love to meet him in person at a convention or something but this virtual meeting made what has been a crap horrible year just a little bit brighter!😊

I've met 5, 6, 8, and 12.
I can't afford to meet 10, every con he's been at that I could have gone to, the price to meet him was too rich for my blood.
7 was at a con near me once, but I had to work that weekend.

Agreed- I am on friendly terms with 1 of the biggest convention promoters here in Oz.. "10" charges $$ up there with Mark Hamill- but they get the crowds every time all the time so fair enough. Unfortunately the economics, their high prices, and the Australia population.. Physically couldn't sign enough autographs/pose for enough pics in the day. DOH

Met Jon Pertwee at shows 30th Anniversary convention in 1993, true gentleman, i explained how Doctor Who was my escape as i was in recovery from my second breakdown at the time & he took me aside & spoke to me for 5 minutes asking how i was doing.
He was genuinely moved that his story's were somehow helping with my recovery.
Also met Katy Manning she squeezed my cheeks & said i was a cutie, made my day, month, year, decade.
Of course the person i dream of meeting is Tom Baker because i adore that man & no joke my mom recording The Ark In Space UK Gold stopped me taking a overdose because Tom's performance in that story cleared the fog inside my head.

Awesome, so far we have 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 (and the various BF doctors- anyone met David Warner ). C'mon "Jo Doctor" that would be the icing on the cake
Katy at "Lords Of Time 3" jumped up off her seat at the signing section, loudly proclaimed I have a perfectly shaped bald head and pulled my head down to her short height and planted 1 on my forehead LOLZ.. All my mates saw it HAHA. She is a fair dinkum 1 of a kind.

Hello everyone! I'm sure many know this but I've met quite a number 'Doctor Who' stars over the years from 2010 to 2019. These include people like Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sophie Aldred, whom I miss greatly. Check out the conventions tag on 'Bradley's Basement' to find out more about my convention experiences and memories - bradleybasement.wordpress.com/category/conventions/Enjoy! Tim.

I met Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann and David Tennant.
It was a massive convention for all four of them so, David Tennant not withstanding, the Doctors did not really have a lot of fans waiting in line. I remember meeting Sylvester and being surprised at how timid he was. I had heard he was a bit more outgoing at other appearances so I'll chalk that up to the exhaustion of having to speak to fan after fan after fan. The one that surprised me the most was Paul McGann. When I mentioned Big Finish he lit up and just started going on about how much he loved doing them. Sylvester was seated next to him and he sort of leaned over and went "Syl, those big finish plays are good fun aren't they?" which got an "ooohhh yes" from him.
Similar experience with Colin Baker who was, sadly sitting by himself without fans at the convention. Funnily enough Paul McGann was at that convention too and seated next to him, with the full Paternoster gang at the other side. So when Big Finish got mentioned there it got a pretty big reaction. Alex Kingston was at that convention too, though because of the ER crowd was seperated from the rest of the Doctor Who actors. When she went for a photoshoot she walked past the table with Paul and Colin, stopped and said "gotta say hi to my husbands" turned around threw them a kiss and shouted "hello sweeties."
