This is just for fun, but if you could retroactively go back and create any new tv episode(s) onto a previous Who era (classic or new who) what would it be and why?You can be as realistic or as fanciful as you like and you don’t necessarily have to stick to budget or the production values the had at the time. Me: I would want to got back and(no surprise) add several musical episodes onto the Capaldi era. They would all be longer than normal, and although they would be very spread out from each other they would all have one unifying reoccurring thing a sort of change that happens to 12 in each of them( yes I am being intentionally vague😉). In all of them 12 would sing as well as play the guitar. The first one of these musical episodes would be the most important out of all of them. This one would be set when 12 and Clara were traveling together. It would occasionally allude to the parallels between them and beauty and the beast, feature satire of the DW fandom and celebrity, very stylized musical numbers in the style of 80s music videos (despite being set in present day, lots of strange surreal moments that are kind of fairytale, meta nods, and maybe even some snogging. Also it would probably either blow out Doctor Who’s entire special effects budget or require some very specific and potentially tricky casting.
What new old tv episodes would you go back and make happen?

Just imagine what could be done with the likes of "Warriors of the Deep" or "Timelash" if they had an actual budget and some special effects.... Or Invasion of the Dinosaurs! It would still not rectify the plot (which is all over the place) but to see it is it might have been intended....

When I first heard the First Doctor Adventures with David Bradley, all I could think is... Why couldn't somebody just have *filmed* this? No slight against BF of course - but it's a rare opportunity for a fully-recast Special Episode!

I think it would be interesting to go back and (re)introduce Kamelion as a member of the TARDIS crew. I know that the actual prop was a complete disaster to work with, but why couldn't they have fun with the notion of a shape-shifting robot and cast different people over a few stories? JN-T would have been over the moon about the casting possibilities.

Here’s a few more: Do an episode either in Classic or New Who guest staring David Bowie before he passed. I picture him playing some kind of eternal who lives in some sort of music realm that he traps the Doctor and companions in. Restructure Sixie’s tv run so it more resembles BF’s story arch for him.
10 having a stand-alone special where Michael Sheen plays a temporary companion.
Also stand alone special where Craig Feurgeson plays a temporary companion for 12. Then have another one where Hugh Grant plays a temporary companion and they fight vampires together.
Have more Pythons guest star during 4’s era.
An entire tv era of 8 based on his Big Finish work (especially Chimes of Midnight)!

An entire tv era of 8 based on his Big Finish work (especially Chimes of Midnight)! That's essentially the one I was going to suggest (but maybe fresh storylines, with his BF companions). It is a long standing and popular '...and why not?' for many fans, I gather.

The Celestial Toymaker in the Third Doctor's exile days. With the Toymaker pitting UNIT against itself in a twisted variant of a board game game like RISK or Stratego. The Brig and Doctor are forced to take on the roles of the 'players,' sending the likes of Yates and Benton into combat against the other. Under threat that to refuse to play forfeits their half of the soldiers. Jo ends up stuck in the middle, sneaking across the lines to pass messages as everyone tries to find a way to subvert and end the game.

This runs contrary to the production realities of the era, but hey ho:
One Third Doctor serial filmed in a foreign locale each season. One story that has the Doctor and our familiar faces at UNIT engaged (either officially or unofficially) in a crisis that requires the exiled Time Lord's unique scientific insight or alien knowledge. Tackling extraterrestrial concerns across Mexico City, the Greek Islands, Persia, British Columbia, Paris or the Simpson Desert. Assigments that sometimes the Doctor would take willingly, sometimes after much persuasion. Other times, he'd be kidnapped or wander off independently with the Brigadier having to track him down with the aid of other UNIT branches (or, worst comes to worst, in his civilian identity).
(This is a scaled-down concept of a bigger budget exile era where the Doctor's laboratory lived out the back of a Hercules carrier. In addition to Britain, UNIT travelled to wherever in Europe they were needed at the time; e.g. Day of the Daleks taking place in Switzerland with Sir Reginald Styles's house dipping its stumps in Lake Geneva.)

A retelling of Metamorphosis where 12 literally turns into a grey haired stick insect😁 Also he still plays the guitar 🎸 This would be with practical effects though to avoid making similar mistakes “The Lazarus Experiment” had😉
An episode where Sixie and Peri go to a planet where everyone dresses like Sixie and he is considered the height of fashion! Just imagine all the extras decked out in mismatched rainbow outfits just as over the top as him!😄
A live action version of the scorchies during 3’s era😀
