www.outpostgallifrey.comChris Walker Thomson The Missing Adventures The **** ****** News By: Kamelion San Francisco, California September 3rd, 2020 Fan fiction? No. Not in a million years. No. Absolutely no. That was my opinion when it came to fan fiction with some exceptional pieces of lore still laying around like, oh, I don't know, Audio Visuals? The real place Big Finish started. With no license. So if Big Finish is fan made, are they the only ones that can do it? Nope! I am pleased to report that the Chris Walker Thomson : The Missing Adventures series is now available to review on The **** ******. Check it out. If I had my hands tied behind my back with a gag in my mouth and someone asked 'Is this Patrick Troughton' and your life depends on it? I would have answered "Patrick Troughton". Thank you to Cavin G. You still carrying on with the weird vendetta against Shaun Lyon after you took the website name without his permission and got mad at him for pointing this out?

You still carrying on with the weird vendetta against Shaun Lyon after you took the website name without his permission and got mad at him for pointing this out? All this is like a soap opera and I've missed the opening episode. What's going on here?

More Outpost Gallifrey news: The Official Annual 2021 OutpostGallifrey.ComSurprise early release by Book Depository NEW EARLY RELEASE UK - 3 September, 2020 Reporter : Kierra Doctor Who : The Official Annual 2021 has certainly seen a musical chair of release dates. On September 1st, 2020 the release date of September 17th was delayed until September 22nd. However, in a surprise manner Book Depository (owed by Amazon since 2011) has released this publication early and began shipping today, September 3rd, 2020. Our Royal Mail tracking clearly shows an acceptance scan with delivery estimated to be tomorrow. An anticipated highlight of this Annual would be it's tie in with Time Lord Victorious according to James Goss here: www.doctorwho.tv/news/?article=what-is-time-lord-victoriousThose of you who placed early orders for this new book are invited to share it's secrets with a review on The **** ****** here: https://the**********.com/Story/story.php?audioid=6689---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OutpostGallifrey.Com

If Chris Walker Thomson is a fan producing fiction without the rights to the material, then it's fanfiction no matter how good it is. And if BF produce material with a licence, then it's not fanfiction no matter how many fans are involved. 'Fanfiction' is not a measure of quality. Also, I believe I have uncovered the reason for the otherwise-mysterious and all-but-unfathomable behaviour of the Book Depository. It released the book today because today is the publication date. www.penguin.co.uk/books/317/317454/doctor-who-annual-2021/9781405946070.html It's a big day for publishing books www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54004162

More Outpost Gallifrey news: Big Finish - Missing Bonus www.outpostgallifrey.com/Monthly Release shows up early, missing Subscriber Bonus, Yet Again... Chicago - September 8th, 2020 Reporter : Rocco Big Finish has released one of their final Doctor Who Monthly pairs of stories today with #268A - The Flying Dutchman and #268B - Displaced. Both stories star Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor, Sophie Aldred as Ace and Philip Oliver as Hex. The release came as a surprise to subscribers as Big Finish had been running towards late monthly releases so this was not expected until the final days of September. However, once again, Big Finish failed to release the advertised 'Subscriber Bonus' which was promised to be included. That story titled 'The Beast of Muir' was not included with the release as advertised on the Big Finish website here: www.bigfinish.com/pages/v/doctor-who---subscriber-short-tripsThe Big Finish website offers no explanation nor apology as to the missing story that was promised to subscribers that paid in advance. For now all we can do is wonder, 'Where's the Beast?' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OutpostGallifrey.Com

I do admire Rocco in Chicago for noting this. I have something to add myself. This is actually false advertising and it never ceases to amaze me that BBC allows Big Finish to do this. The Big Finish website here very clears says 'September - The Beast of Muir by Nicole Petit (Fourth Doctor and Leela, read by John Banks), comes with Doctor Who - The Flying Dutchman / Displaced' 'COMES WITH' www.bigfinish.com/pages/v/doctor-who---subscriber-short-tripsAnd it did not 'COME WITH' Doctor Who - The Flying Dutchman / Displaced That's just false advertising any way you look at it. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore since the Doctor Who Monthly range is coming to an end with #275 this March. That sucks way more than a late release. Kamelion

In reality people do pay for the Subscriber Bonus stories. That is why they are a 'bonus' to a paid subscription. And there's really no excuse when it says 'Comes With' and it does not come with. That's false advertising any way you look at it. Will it come out soon? Who knows? If you can't trust the advertising saying 'comes with', I guess they can just release it whenever they feel like it. I am weary of the false advertising by Big Finish. And they don't even apologize.

The bonuses - like the extended extras and pdf scripts - don't always go up at the same time as the story is released. It's usually within the month at some point. And it's not false advertising if it's bundled with Flying Dutchman and released at some point in September!

Kamelion Even as a news site, this is the correct place for this thread. I see. I'm not seeing a proper category for news on Divergent Universe. If there is no proper category I would suggest leaving messages where they are posted as opposed to appearing as if you are participating in moderation or censorship. Is that fair enough? Kamelion

Kamelion Since I am a moderator of this site, I am in fact participating in moderation. Every other member of this site who has a personal website posts news from their own site here in this board, "Blogs, Review Sites and Podcasts". Members of this site know this is the place to go for news from other websites, podcasts, and blogs. The **** ******, which you now seem to manage, has a **** ****** thread. That thread would be the appropriate place for you to post your Time Scale reviews. Or you can post them here in this thread, if you want to highlight that the **** ****** is under new management. This is the board in which folks look for that kind of information.

Thanks Ela. I'm not a fan of moderation as that is also known as censorship. You say that 'Every other member of this site who has a personal website posts news from their own site here in this board', well Outpost Gallifrey is not a personal website, it is a news site that has multiple volunteer reporters. I guess you don't have a proper category for such and that is fine. Would it be hard to add a 'NEWS' category?
I had never seen The **** ****** thread here before. (Thumping myself in the head). I guess I better go take a look at that.
Thanks

Hi Ela, Okay I just looked at the so called 'The **** ******' category here and I see a bunch of messages from 2015-2019 where it appears as if half or more of the messages have been deleted along with the users? Looks like some heavy handed moderation went down there thus destroying anything of true value.
Can you tell me the history of that?
Thanks

It was advertised as being included thus false advertising. It was not included. www.bigfinish.com/pages/v/doctor-who---subscriber-short-tripsThis is very extremely plain and clear false advertising by Big Finish and causing the property of Doctor Who owned by BBC to be drawn into disrepute in violation of their contract. Plain // and // simple

I have to go to bed, but I just have to point out that in no way are you being censored. I have not deleted or altered any of your posts. All I did was move them to the appropriate board within the forum.
